I did not get that one. I have received others with that same explanation as to how they came to contact me. Then I remembered some of the latest IC agreements had a clause that said they would be sharing our information with others in this industry.
Are they offering casino shops or something else? I might have done a few things for them pre-covid if it is who i think it is. Not 100% certain.

Did they list any potential shops for you or just ask you to sign up?

They are not registered with MSPA if that means anything to you or not.

Many yrs. ago, I had a day casino shop scheduled, but the MSC cancelled. Thankfully, before another appeared, I read several negative comments about the company and did not schedule anymore work.
I did two casino shops for them pre-covid, in Las Vegas. They only reimbursed $10 for table games (yes, $10 for a table game evaluation in Las Vegas). When they reached out for a 3rd casino shop and I said it did not really make sense to put $10 on a table in Las Vegas, they scolded me and cancelled my account.
You should be able to dredge up some of the old CHC threads with a search of the forum.

The owners tend to show up and refute any claims of them being argumentative and difficult to work with, which is both entertaining, and ironic.
If you are a member of the MSPA they can get your name. Schedulers also share shopper names. I've gotten some good jobs because a scheduler referred me.

They wanted me to falsify my report. My account got canceled when I said, "NO!"

My lucky streak of good search results seems to be over. I cannot find any discussion of this company but I am quite positive it's here somewhere. Was it under a different name?

Edit: Never mind. I found them through the list of companies at the bottom of the page where they list the discussions.

I think -

I couldn't help but laugh at this blurb:
"Just search CHC and you’ll find it. (Source). March 27, 2024"
Go to the bottom of this page, click on official list of mystery shopping companies and go to the second section which alphabetically lists all of the companies and how many discussions are present for them. Pick on any discussion. Some have worse reviews than others.
They are on my ten-foot pole list (as outlined on several of the past threads). The whole "got your name from another company" email is common and I personally know several people who were contacted with that same email over the past 10 years. CHC is run by two women who left Bare Associates back around 2011 or so. When they left, there was a pretty big public blow up and lots of accusations about HOW they left and non-competes and the like. That is all of the new information I would add to this discussion. But as mentioned before, there is tons and tons of past information about shoppers experiences with CHC. I will also add that I have a friend who works for them and has for years. He gets paid as contracted and is satisfied with the business relationship.

Yeah...I think it's largely personalty driven and your friend is the right personality for the job. They would not have to be continually recruiting year after year of the assignment value and working relationship was good.

I second that. It probably works for him. (I need to text him btw.)

Anyway, MickeyB is probably the nicest, kindest, most forgiving person on this forum. If MickeyB has this company on the 10 foot pole list, that should be proof enough for anyone.
I did a casino shop for them 2 weeks ago and have been doing them for the past couple years. I've had no issues other than the reimbursement is weak and due to same I'm considering discontinuing future shops. While the reimbursement for table games went up, it's still not with the times because there are no table minimums under $10 any longer, at least not at this casino. The reimbursement is gone in minutes and unless you are a true gambler and don't care about losing money, you're done.
I will chime in and note that I began working for them last year before I knew any of the negative feedback about this forum. There are a handful of hotel shops that I do for them on a regular basis in my area, and one of them is quite high profile (and one that I had always wanted to stay at before I began mystery shopping). I have always found them easy and straightforward to work with, they communicate very well with me, and they have paid me much better fees and travel expenses than other companies. I saw that most of the negative feedback was from the past. As long as I continue to have a wonderful relationship with them (I LOVE one of the shops that I get to do for them, and I am doing it for a third time in two weeks), I will continue to do so. That being said, I understand why others avoid them based on past experience.
