Company named 'Business Evaluations'

Has anyone heard of them? I just did a shop for them and would like to know something about them before I do more.....just in case.

You mean, BES? They're legit, but are slow payers. There are some other threads about them on the board.
I just self-assigned for a shop in Sept., and had to ask a question (talk about sslow), it's been 5 days and I haven't heard a thing. Hope they don't forget about paying, but no out of pocket money, except for parking, which I need to know about prior to doing the shop...they have been around a long time.

Woah! I asked for a shop for a gym and it was assigned to me. That same day, I was talking to my husband and he said that we already belonged to that gym through our insurance company. I called and emailed to tell them and to see if they want me to shop another location (they have several) but have not heard back. It is due today. Nothing else I can do. B
I am getting scared......I need to know about parking and if they reimburse. Has anyone tried to call them?

They used to shop my favorite pizza place, a chain here in the area around Fresno, and I did a few of those shops for them. They don't do them anymore and there are rarely any shops in my area now. I seem to have been getting many more emails from them lately, so I guess they are too busy filling their outgoing mailbox to be able to check their incoming mailbox!

Fresno, CA - and shopping all over the middle part of the state!
I assigned myself a shop a few month's ago, when I printed the paperwork, I did not realloy understand it. I emailed several times and finally had to cancel. I would not take a chance and do the shop where I had a chance it would be rejected.

All I can say, (I have done about 7 or 8, and paid for parking) when I look at my invoice, it includes the parking I provided the receipt for. So I am expecting to be paid for parking. We will see. I did all the shops in July.
First time on this forum. I was originally looking for experiences with IKEA shops and found exactly the information I was looking for. Will definitely NOT do any of those.

BES - I worked with them for several years in Oregon, doing mainly rural retail shops. Now that I'm in Southern California, I have done many furniture and mattress set shops for them. Yes, they pay very slowly. However, I've never had any kind of problems with them.

Best of luck.
The only problem I've had was discovering that an assigned shop was cancelled on me as I tried to submit my entry before the due date. The outlet shop was reassigned to someone "who promised to do it sooner".????????? This admitted rescheduling confirmed that I was not mistaken when it had happened once before.

Never again will I experience problems with BES ! I can't and won't deal with crazies.
Were you reassured about the reimbursement

I have shopped with them. Retail and restaurant. No problems with guidelines, reports or payment. I haven't had reason to email them before a shop, so can't speak to that.
Yes, they said they do not reimburse for parking, nor does the company valadate, so I'll try and park on the street, just hope one hour is enough for consultation, I'll have to pay the meter.

I've done several restaurant type shops for them in the past few years, one every few months as their job board for my area is slim. The report form is pretty easy to fill out, short narrative evaluation if I remember correctly.

Yes, they are slow to pay like so many other mystery shop companies. I think the slow payers wait to get paid by the client before paying out the shopper, but I believe the timeline is stated up front in their FAQ's.

They are easy to communicate with by email. Many of these companies are not staffed on weekends, so response may not be immediate. Some will offer a weekend emergency voicemail through their switchboard.

I've been signed up for them for years but haven't taken a shop from them yet. I haven't heard anything bad about them, if that says anything.
