SQM? Any reviews?

I just got a message from SQM that I have been accepted as a shopper. Honestly, I don't remember when I signed up, but, probably last summer. Anyway, they appear to be a Canadian company, but do have some shops in the US and in my area. Does anyone have any experience with them? The shops I'm seeing in my area are hotel shops that are reimbursed at 50%, but they also have the same in an area that I have to travel to in the spring for a marathon, so, I would be willing to do the shop for a 50% reimbursement if it's a company I can count on (I looked at the form, and it's not tedious at all - mostly yes/no, a few required photos, and photos of deficiencies).

I did a few transportation shops for them back in 2016. The website was clunky - had to save after each page and instead of continuing on to the next page, it reset to the beginning of the report and had to click forward to getto the next section. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad and they did pay on time, but I don't remember how long it took. And, if i remember correctly, they booked for you and you had to pay them your half, which they refunded at some agreed upon point in the future. My daughter did have an issue with them not paying her the correct exchange rate (as the company is, as you said Canadian, and we shopped in the US). Hopefully things have changed for the better in the past few years.
I did a hotel restaurant shop for them a few months ago. Everything was pretty straightforward although i worried about my interpretation of the rules at first as it was quite different than other restaurant jobs I have done. My pay came on time and in correct US Dollars. Evidently they are just now starting to get back into US jobs since the pandemic.
I liked working for them. I did the 50% hotel one. Simple report. Worth staying at a hotel 50% off on a trip where I needed a hotel.

Restaurant mystery shops went well.

They had a set of training levels you had to do.

They don't seem to have anything in my area any more so I have no recent experience
It saved me 50% on a hotel stay. So, 60ish dollars for a simple checklist. Done before I left the building.
I've been shopping with them for years and have only had good experiences. (I miss their bus shops which are probably not coming back as that brand has changed ownership.)

Speaking as someone who has done quite a few very high-end resort shops this year I see the appeal of the 50% hotel shops, especially if the report is simple. You can stay up to four nights, bring kids or a pet (although you'd have to pay the entire pet fee), and right now there are hundreds of locations on the board which is certainly not the case with most other hotel MSCs whose offerings get snatched up instantly. I haven't done one yet in part because I chase elite nights with Marriott when I'm looking for offerings in this price range, but I could certainly see myself picking one up if I needed a cheap stay somewhere.
Is Ashley Zammit still there? she’s a piece of work. she called me multiple times BEFORE the shop date to threaten that i better do it. strange
I did a hotel overnight that was fully reimbursed back in 2019, but the report and the interactions were a pain. They used to have bus shops that were at a good discount, but haven't seen those in awhile. Pre-Covid they had 50% off airline flights, but those have gone to another MSC. Not sure about the 50% hotel stays, might be worth it if traveling.
