HS Brands

I signed up for 2 shops with them. I'm not sure what they expect with the narratives, hopefully they don't have to be super detailed. The other thing I'm seeing is people complaining about how long it takes to get paid, like 70+ days. Hopefully it won't be worse than that, but wish I would have known about the payment issue.

Yes, hands down the slowest MSC for payments. I average 65 days to be paid. Compared to some where you can be paid as soon as the next day.
I like doing shops for them. I find them reasonable with their reports. I'll wait to get paid on time according to the agreed on time schedule.

I guess I just don't understand all the recent chatter about taking too long to be paid. You agreed to it when you signed up.
Yep. I agreed to be paid mid-December for a shop I did October 1st. I usually forget about it and when the payment comes in it’s like a little bonus.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
I think the chatter is natural, as people are talking about the fact that it takes 2-3 times longer than all other MSCs for HS Brands to pay. And they pay really low amounts for their projects. So they have figured out how to financially benefit by keeping their cash in their own accounts, increasing their margins on every shop with their low pay...versus payiing in line with the rest of the industry.

If it works for you, though, thats all that matters! Who cares about the chatter?

HS Brands, slow payments don't bother me as much since the amounts aren't large (for me) and no large outlays of my own cash.
Coyle on the other hand, can take as long as 59 days, sometimes even longer....and those are usually some pretty large reimbursements...not crazy about that..
Service Slueth AKA HS Brands, to the best of my recollection, has always paid me according to their stated terms or earlier. In addition, my money has always been, to the dime, correct. In the past couple of yrs., work for them has been sparse, but, that is the nature of this business. All I ask of any MSC, is that I receive info upon which I may base my decision of acceptance; SS has completely complied.

If SS's terms are unacceptable, show your dislike by refusing their jobs.

Many MSCs take 60ish days to pay. There are some that take 90+ days to pay. Occasionally, there are MSCs which simply never pay.
They take around two months but they will pay. I just received another payment from them today for a shop I did on Oct 18. I just wish they would change the wording on the login page from "35-60 days" to 60 days if that is what we should normally expect from them. But then again, one of the shops I recently completed has guidelines mentioning it will be paid within 35 days, so maybe they'll pay faster in this case after all.
I did a shop yesterday for an Australian meat place and one of my photos was corrupted so oops . Hope Im not out $90 bucks. At least teh meal was fantastic, unlike the previous meals I had more than 20 years ago. That's why I never went back, It's in the editor's hands now.
While the Australian meat place just serves beef and chicken, my local butcher is Australian and so his shop does carry kangaroo. I am unsure how to prepare it but maybe I should figure it out and try it.
