Shared Insight - do you do jobs for them?

I can never seem to find threads on here using search so posting a new one.

I just signed up with them after seeing a post on the Mystery Shopping Reddit forum. So far I really like their job assignment format (self-assign if you qualify) AND the option to change the date 2x if need be (LOVE that option).
Anyone have feeback on them?

Interesting ... So AFTER I make this post and it asks me in the box on the right if I am signed up with them THEN a link appears to the discussions of this company. WHY doesn't that come up using the Search function??
I also see people has issues with them 8 or 9 years ago but I don't see anything recent.
I haven't shopped with them for a few years. Almost everything near me is a car wash and requires video but I used to do a shoe store for them (and the car washes prior to the video requirement) and never had any issues. Nice and responsive schedulers from my experience.
Yes, just scooped up the shoe store (my brand!!) and then the board cleared off, no more shops within 50 miles.
Years ago they were my favorite company. At the time their jobs were straightforward and fees were decent compared to other msc. I look at their emails but they never have locations nearby anymore. There is one cable/cell phone? store but I am not interested in that as there is usually a very long wait for service at those places here.
I think? maybe I'm signed up with them, because the name seems familiar. But I'm fairly certain I haven't done any jobs for them recently, or since the Covid lockdown.
I do their car washes but try and wait til they raise the fees. They will send multiple emails with shops that aren’t close for minimal fees so that can get annoying. Overall I think they’re pretty good, but the questionnaires can get a bit redundant.
They only seem to have car washes in my area, and I'm not interested in those. Abut 5-6 years ago, they had a yogurt-ice cream shop that I did a few times. I had no issues with the report or payment.
I just posted about a shop I had where they had a REQUIRED two part shop. I did not follow one of the guidelines correctly, contacting them 24 hours prior to performing the shop, so that as the instructions read, they could append a second report for the second shop. I emailed support 1/2 hour beforehand. However I received a reply stating that I did not need to do the second shop as this was only a spot check with a few questions. I replied quoting the requirements. Their decision was that had I followed the email instructions, I would have learned of the spot check and that the second one was not required. It would have been nice to have inserted a clause in the guidelines stating this.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

They posted one of the shoe stores near me, they've raised reimbursement since the last time I did the stores.
@whosear I definitely could be misunderstanding your statement, but were you paid at all?

If they are only paying you for the first part, then I don’t see an issue. The chances are you may not have been paid for the second part anyway since you mentioned that you didn’t email them in time, but they said no second part is required. If they are saying you don’t have to do the second part and they also aren’t paying you for the first part, then I think your concern is valid.

Thank you!

I did a shop for them last week. It was the New England based food truck initially found on the GigSpot site with instructions to take 4 specific pictures, but directing you to their site to sign up. The truck was to be at a specific site near me at specific hours. There was a truck at that location at the specified time. On their site there was (apparently) 12 pages of instructions but only the first page was visible to me any of the three times I checked it. I did the shop and while filling their forms I found there were several specific pictures requested I did not see. I returned to the site, got those pictures, and finished the report. A couple days later I was told that I shopped the wrong truck. It seems they sent a different crew to the specified location and there were instructions in the document I could not open saying to call the MSC to confirm. Several emails back and forth with the editor explained what happened. She asked if I would be willing to make another trip to the truck but without being able to see the instructions I was reluctant. The down side is I made two trips to the truck, filled out the questionnaire, and spent money on a shop that I will not be reimbursed for.
I self assigned this shop as well and after reading the 12 pages of instructions, I unassigned. I’m glad that I did. The truck was at a festival in my city that I planned to attend, however, after consideration, I feared that all of the photos would be nearly impossible. I did attend the festival and saw the truck. I’m glad that I declined. This would have been a major PITA!!
