Any Payout Issues w/Conf3r0?

I did a few shops last week even though my payment was late. They have run a few days late in the past. I have more shops scheduled later this week. Like you, I will not be working them if I haven't received my payment.
Our next payment is scheduled for January 10th - 15th. I wonder when we will receive that.

Still no payment and no response to my email. I will be reaching out to cancel the shop I have scheduled for next Monday if I do not have payment by Friday.
I didn’t receive a payment today, either.
I believe that I am going to start a new topic on this tomorrow if I don’t get paid. This has me very worried. I am worried that they are going out of business. They owe me a lot of money for the last couple of months. I am on social security and work to be able to pay my bills. I emailed my scheduler yesterday and asked again what was going on. She did not reply.

No - I sent an email but have not received a response. I will update when payment is received.
Has ANYone received a December payment? This is now a week late and cannot be explained away as a busy holiday time issue.
I was paid 01/02 for two shops completed 11/01 and 11/15. Each was a combination category 2 & 3, as I was driving by both and desiring lunch. My pay was $8 + $12, which considering neither required drive time or expense and both lunches were tasty, was definitely acceptable to me.

Folks, I suggested in another thread, to sit down and attempt to create a shopping plan that works for you. If, though, you fail, leave the business in the dust as you move on down the line.

A final point: It did not, in the least, bother me that I was paid 48 & 63 days after I submitted the reports. My reason is that these job were not completed for cash AND I did not have a cent of outlay. I needed to eat and merely turned right into one lot and left into the other as I traveled to suppliers for my store. That is my point; I worked my plan. The old adage goes, "Plan your work, then work your plan."
Interestingly I did a Confero shop late December through Presto and was still paid in days. Like the rest of you though the ones I did directly through them are unpaid right now.
I believe that they are in financial trouble. I suspected that they might be paying Presto because they have to pay them faster and have a contract. In my opinion, I think this was planned my Confero. They will be leaving us mystery shoppers having a ton of expenses for groceries and the gas we used to drive there. I worked a lot of bonused shops for them in December that were out of my area. I worked the day after Christmas because I needed the money. I am 72 and live on my pension and social security. For November and December, Confero owes me well over $1,000.
I doubt if I will ever get the money.
I have always worked all my shops and been very responsible. I suggest that if you have any future shops scheduled, do not inform Confero if you do not intend to work them. If you inform them, they will post the shops on Presto. They have not responded to us, we will return the favor.
So ShopperBob is the only one who has received a direct payment from Confero in December?
He didn't specify if it was through Presto or directly from Confero. I emailed Elaine, shopper payments and shopper support again this morning. No replies, I believe we are scr----.

DRJ inquires--So ShopperBob is the only one who has received a direct payment from Confero in December?

Bob replies--You misread my post. I was paid in Jan., with those fees for work completed in Nov.

Folks, as I have stated, I had neither a penny invested nor a block driven concerning the Nov. work. I was in need of lunch and driving by the eateries. I certainly understand Texan's concern, though, and agree that lack of communication is, "no ifs, no ands, no buts," unacceptable. I, personally, have never experienced a fee problem with this company, BUT, for the jobs I choose, 60 days payout AND no investment are my keys to the lock of successful transactions.
ShopperBob still didn’t state if he worked the shop through Presto or Confero. We are all looking to get paid for our November shops in January.
Texan, that info never entered my mind to reveal; I am not a Presto shopper. It is my understanding Presto requires the report to be entered while on the premises by means of a cell phone. Is that correct?

I can not envision any circumstances whereby SmartPhone usage would profit me.
Anyone out there that hasn't been paid for November, December and January, please hang on to your receipts for your grocery purchases or other expenses. I need to talk to my accountant, but I am hoping that I can write this off as a loss.
I actually didn't misread it, I just made a misstatement. You received your payment (that was due in December) on January 2nd. What my question was meant to ask, was whether anyone other that Bob had received a payment due in December (whether received in December or in the first few days of January) for work in November that SHOULD have been paid in December. It seems like Bob is the only one to receive any payments for November work.

Texan and I have not received our payment (that was due in December) for work completed in early November and it is now January 8th. They are no responding to emails. These are concerning signs. and indicate they are in trouble, or at best, do not give a rat's @ss about their shoppers.

I'll ask again, has ANYONE (besides Bob) received a direct payment from Confero for work done in November that should have been paid December 30? Did you receive it in December per the company's terms, or in January?

Since they seem to be paying Presto shops, I wasn't asking about payment for those shops, which I consider "indirect? payments. Since I don't use Presto, I;m not sure how those payments are handled.

I have emailed the scheduler and the general inbox about my payment with no response.

Did anyone do a Confero shop scheduled by Acculocity? If so it would be worth checking in with them.

The one I did was scheduled by someone else, but Acculocity does their new sports bar/wings client. They can't control the MSC's payment schedule, but their predecessor company KSS was always helpful when this kind of issue arose with one of their clients.
I got paid around January 3rd for a shop that said it had been paid around December 16 (shop completed around October 22) on my shop log but I had not received anything from PayPal. I got paid and it said "reissue of payment 12/16/24", not sure why they had to reissue if I was never paid in the first place on December 16.

They put the "reissue" garbage on my October 4 payment that I should have received September 30 and they also said, "Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay while we worked to determine the Paypal API issue and resolve it."

I'm not buying blaming any part of that delay or this one on Paypal.

I was just paid for the 2 shops that I performed on 11/8/2024.

After reading your post, I just checked my Shopper Log. It now shows "Paid 1/8/2025", but the money is NOT YET in my Paypal account. So maybe tomorrow!

Fingers crossed! winking smiley
I just got paid and it was in my PayPal account. I was able to transfer it out and the transfer was successful!!

I don't understand why Confero would not respond to any of our emails. It makes no sense. I have bonused shops to work for them tomorrow. I am unsure if I should work them or cancel. It has been terrible behavior by Confero. If they had told any of us that our payment was going to be delayed, it wouldn't have bothered me. Most of us are very understanding. But to just ignore all of our emails, has been extremely upsetting.

I still feel like they are having financial problems. I am unsure if I should continue to work shops where I have to make a purchase up to $10. Sometimes, I work 5 shops in one day. That amounts to me spending $50 in just one day. You can imagine how much I am out of pocket by the end of a month.

I am not sure if I should work my shops tomorrow or cancel. I would like your opinions.
Texans, are you kidding?! Aren't you in Dallas? It's going to snow tomorrow morning!

This doesn't help, but the last time I did shops with Confero was the movie theater compliance. Unfortunately, I've aged out. I feel so old now. I remember Elise being responsive and helpful. From what I remember, the new scheduler took a long time to respond. Not really much shops beyond that in my close area.

I agree with the advice given by @shopperbob - create a plan. Can you afford to lose the investment when March pay time comes or is it going to put you out of business, assuming the worst? I can tell by your posts that this was an upsetting ordeal for you - do you want to take the chance that it could happen again? These were the first 2 shops I had completed for Confero since 2005. They have been around a long time…but so were Kmart and Sears. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket - MSC’s have gone bankrupt and left shoppers high and dry in the past (G3 was a prime example back in 2007 or 08). I’m not putting Confero in that bucket but you have to judge what’s best for you and your financial situation. Best wishes in whatever you decide. smiling smiley
I know it is supposed to snow, but not until later in the afternoon. I actually live 25 miles south of Dallas in a rural area. This is why I get a lot of bonused shops. I pick up a lot of the small towns where Confero have shops that need working. It is an easy drive for me to work these without getting into the traffic nightmares in Dallas and the surrounding suburbs. For mystery shoppers close to Dallas, it would be a 100 mile round trip. For me, I can be at most of the locations in 30 minutes.

I have 3 shops scheduled for Confero tomorrow. I could have them all done in a couple of hours. I still feel like Confero is having financial problems and I am taking a risk investing more money working shops, but it is hard to give up large bonuses when I really need the money. I am in a dilemma as to what to do.
I enjoyed the warmer winter, but when I hear the word "snow," I personally bail! I don't know what I would do though if I was in that situation.
Thank you, Patman. Your advice is sound and exactly what I was thinking. I believe my mystery shopping for Confero is going to be very limited. We all need to be cautious about working Confero shops until we see what happens. We are due to be paid again between January 10th and the 15th.
