Say what we will about Ipsos...

I commend your ability to do 6 gas stations in a little over an hour. Even when my cell service is lightning fast and I am at a small station, it still takes me at least 20 minutes to upload all of the photos and answer all of the questions. Best case scenario, with stations close to each other, would be 2 stations in one hour. If the photos are not uploading super fast, the station is large, and/or there are quite a few infractions, it can take me 30 minutes or more to complete a location. The idea of being able to complete 6 gas stations in a little over an hour seems like something I could personally never make work.

This timeline sounds about right - for a shopper with a lot of experience with gas station shops to begin with. Six in an hour sounds like some corners are being cut, esp. since adding the photos later adds additional time.

The Ipsos highly bonused shops tend to have problems. There’s some reason why nobody will take them, like spotty internet, they’re far from highways or other main thoroughfares, there are infractions, the weather is unpredictable, roads are bad, etc. The extra drive time on top of it could make it a half a day prospect, so the pay SHOULD be high. When they receive a perfect report and still reject it late in the day for a lame reason they didn’t fully investigate, then go MIA during and after business hours, then it goes poof when the clock strikes 12, it’s a big F.U. to the IC, and they know it.

The simple fact was they didn’t think I deserved it. I did 2 $250 shops that day and they thought that pay for 1 was enough. They truly suck, and should not be trusted, especially with their strict guidelines that expunge the proof of the shops same day. There are other MSCs that make the survey disappear after it’s submitted, but they will at least tell you what’s wrong if there’s a problem and allow a fix if possible. Even that shouldn’t be happening.

A clean station, 6 pictures = 10 minutes.
No corners cut, 15 years of doing all kinds of stations.
Let's remember, it is just this one area. It is not all the
time. I would say my average is 12 minutes. Taking
photos quickly with your device, makes for a quick upload,
instead of scrolling through the report and taking pics.
If you had held out for higher pay for these shops, you probably would have gotten them anyway, no? I doubt they look for patterns such as how close the shops are to one another until they see one. They must know they got you for them now.
No, can't "hold out" for more pay. I have one or two other people
in my area, that would take them !
Not quite sure about your thinking ?? Patterns ?? Got me ??
In the 3 states I work, the CSR's already know me...that is how
long I have been doing them. I don't have to introduce myself
after the inside purchase, I just start taking pictures outside.
I also know ALL IPSOS supervisors (for all fuel shops) and email them directly
for any issues (especially from new editors).
All my contacts came from Maritz and other companies that IPSOS took over.
Again, It sucks you have issues. I have never had any, really !
The only issues, came from COVID (I use to work in 2 other states) but with
the lock down, people joined and took that work.
I think there is reasoning behind their twice a week pay schedule....and it is NOT because they have warm, loving hearts!
