I did get paid from them a few months ago. I will not do another shop for them although I did receive an email this morning for a shop and just deleted it.

The $38 bank shops are up to $42. It's killing me that $42=$0 in the end!

I was curious if anyone ever did a shop recently for them. Interested to hear about their payment experience.

Right? I wish I could hear something good. But even the way they handled - or didn’t - the non payment debacle I know this should be kept front and center in my mind.

Well, I like the way you math! Usually there's no ambiguity, but It seems correct in this case.

I met David Hartley at an MSPA event. He rubbed me the wrong way. Seemed like a hustler. Problem is - so am I. You can't hustle a hustler. After I saw his photo on FB, I recalled how he made me feel instantly.

He is incredibly unprofessional in email correspondence. Good luck to anyone that tries. IF you get a response after weeks of attempts, he will brush you off and avoid the inquiry altogether.

The scheduler's name has been around a long time. I don't remember which other projects or companies she has represented but I've seen the name for many, many years, mostly in emails but not negative issues. It makes me wonder if she had been corrupt all along or just went rotten under the headship of this company owner. I mean, to actively recruit and assign shoppers, knowing that they will not be paid is consciously participating in the folly.

For the shops I completed, Marguerite Turner was the scheduler. To her credit, while she was initially helpful in trying to facilitate a resolution, it appeared that the company worked within silos. I don't have any knowledge, but it always circled back to the "accounting department", where she didn't have any oversight. But I believe she was the client manager for the shops I completed.

Elite CXS is based in Florida.

In Florida, you can serve a Notice of Nonpayment within 90 days of the last day of work on a project. If you don't serve the notice within this time frame, you forfeit your right to payment protection.

Also, there’s the Florida Prompt Payment Act, which requires payment of proper invoices within 45 days for non-construction services.

And they are still posting new shops - due immediately! Has anyone shopped and gotten paid recently?

@pgilham50, just curious, did your daughter end up getting paid?

Sometimes, maybe no news is good news. Or not.

I'll pipe in:

No payments for October and November shops.

No email replies from any of the emails or phone calls.

Still scheduling actively by several well known industry schedulers (shame on them - there is no way they do not know that shoppers are owed months of pays)

I did get paid for the shops I did last year but would not do another one for them.

I told my daughter that I had not got paid and I showed her this forum that so many of you had reported not getting paid and her company fired Elite CSX from their mystery shopping program.

I shopped for them back in the fall as well as one over a year ago. I had Not realized that I had never been paid from the one in 2023 until I didn’t get paid for any of the shops I did at the end of the year. They owed me a total of about $740. They have paid me all of it except for the last $175. Now no one is replying to any of my emails.

Well, I hope you all eventually get paid. I assumed those affected up until around summer/fall of last year had gotten paid.

I did some apartment shops for them and was paid at the 90 day mark. The job of the scheduler is to schedule the job, not do payroll. Who is the scheduler now?

I received payment today for a shop I did in July 2024. I emailed David constantly and would get ignored for the most part. Be consistent with your emails and eventually you will hopefully get a reply and your payment.

Sounds like they are using current shops to catchup on old payments to prior assignments. Does anyone from their company bother to come on and explain? At least Sherri with MFI will come on the boards and give us some form of communication.

I have not done any work for this company in awhile. I don't plan to start either. Hopefully you will be paid, but I can also hope all the clients pull the plug and put them down for good. We do not need a MSC like this to be around and still posting shops when they cannot even pay shoppers for prior shops completed. Sounds like a MSC ponzi scheme.

I heard Elite CXS is no longer a member of MSPA.

You must get to the only person who handles payments (or dodges payment), David Hartley the owner. There is no payables department. The company is an office with one person in it. If you have been paid by them consider yourself lucky.

It is time to hold them ALL accountable from the top down to the schedulers and anyone else who as you said, are consciously participating. At what point does this folly become criminal behavior to knowingly defraud shoppers? Any scheduler who is thinking of or is scheduling for them now needs to think long and hard about their good name and what this will do to it if shoppers find out who they are. And in this industry, people do talk.

Bob agrees--At least 15 yrs. ago, I was mistakenly logged into the scheduler's forum on Volition; these were threads closed to shoppers. At that point in my life, I had been self-employed since 1963. Anyone, though, lacking my experience could have been disgusted and/or horrified with some of the posts ridiculing shoppers.
