Market-Approach

Hi, has anyone ever worked with Market-Approach doing a timeshare presentation visit where they cover the hotel?

I just registered with them. The kiosk shops look deceptively easy. I'd have to drive to get to one, but it would be worth it if it helped get a travel shop later.

Years and years ago I did a timeshare shop, and it went well. A few years ago I did a kiosk shop, and that also went well. Then almost two years ago they switched to a third-party payer. Nope. Not interested anymore.
@guysmom I understand. I feel differently because, unlike some other MSCs, Market Approach switched only once as far as I can recall and it was to bill.com -- a reliable company. I did a shop for MA on 9/12 and received the bill.com payment in my bank account on 10/10.
I bailed on the timeshares after doing 3 of them. That last one I was there being passed from one person to the next higher up for 5 YES 5 hours. The 2-3 hours the survey teases you with is not accurate in my opinion.
@big_sky_thunder That's awful! I've done many timeshare shops and never came close to 5 hours.
i did one. It was okay… but to act interested and then completely say no at the end feels awkward.

how have folks make this transition?

when i switched from interested to firm no, it was like i unleashed the kraken and they were all over me

In my younger days and not a shop, I did a time-share presentation locally to get the free gifts. When I backed out the guy got nasty and outright asked me why I was there if I had no intention of buying. Ah..um...for the free gifts. No wonder my husband hates these things and I can never get him to another. That was a couple hours of our time we'll never get back and the free gifts stunk on top of it. But those Marriott properties were appealing. I almost wish we had bought one. Someday I'd like to try one of these with Market Approach. Can they be done without a spouse?

I have done a few. The presentations can be tough because they last soooo long and you have to act interested until the end. But the hotels are nice and it can be a fun getaway for free, plus you get to keep the gift cards they give you. And the reports are not difficult!
@MsJudi Yes, they can be done w/o a spouse but only if you don't have one, I think. I don't know if you can just pretend to be single.
I have done the timeshare and the kiosks. No issues at all and the schedulers are fantastic.

I would happily take another one in the future. I was able to do a timeshare as a single person even though I'm married because I make enough myself to meet their income requirements.

Interesting. I know that I cannot do an owner update as a single person since I am married, but a timeshare as a single sounds appealing. Thanks.
