MSCs that use GigSpot for only some jobs?

There's a lot of MSCs that I haven't signed up for on their own websites, and I only access their jobs through GigSpot. I found out recently that at least one of these MSCs only make some of their jobs accessible via GigSpot--maybe to keep major shops for their loyal shoppers, or avoid having to pay fees to GigSpot for each job.

Is this common? Do folks know of other MSCs that are withholding like this? FWIW, I'm pretty sure Presto for MSCs using the Sassie platform doesn't work the same way as GigSpot--if a job's on Sassie, it's on Presto (though sometimes it takes a day to appear there).

Do you know which MSC this is? I think you can say bc you arent mentioning the client in the post. I have been using gigspot a lot - it actually got me exposed to some mscs I wouldn't have been with anyway. I do find it really convenient, esp when traveling to other areas, and I'm hesitant to give it up.
The MSCs do not post all of their available shops on Gigspot. And once you sign up with Gigspot you can no longer access the regular MSC websites. Which is why I got out of Gigspot (which is an ordeal in itself). Presto does NOT keep you from accessing the actual MSC websites.

On Presto you can claim and do Insta-shops that are represented by blue, pink, red, and purple (at least so far) pins, those are paid for in advance by the MSC and you will be paid for the work you do by Presto, usually in less than a week. The orange pins on the Presto app are Sassie platform jobs on the various MSC websites that you can apply for (or self-assign, if you're qualified) on their websites only, and you will be paid through the MSC in their own agreed to timeline.
My experience and from everything I've

read here is that there is no advantage to signing up with Gigspot.

Please enlightening us as to why you feel they have jobs on Gigspot but not their websites?

Perhaps you just weren't signed up on their websites?

I don't think that's what the OP said. They said companies are putting jobs on their websites that don't make it over to Gigspot.

So are there are shops on Gigspot not on the website or are there shops not on Gigspot but the wesite. That's what I meant to ask.
Really?? Oh man ... I just signed up again (used to have it under a different email I think) and didn't know I would be shut out from the actual companies. Hmmm.

I can't say about all of the MSCs on Gigspot, but when I used them I mainly dealt with AboutFace. The jobs that I was doing on Gigspot were also listed on AboutFace's website, only they paid more on AboutFace.

I only did a few jobs for Alta360 and one or two others, I ended up getting out of Gigspot and then signing up with the MSCs that I could remember (because I wasn't smart enough to write down the names of all of the companies). It was nearly impossible to get out, and it involved lots of emails, I hope the process is easier now. After I got out of Gigspot, I made pretty good money with AboutFace for a quite a while there.

Again, the OP suggested that there might be jobs on the websites that are not on Gigspot. Whether that's true, I don't know.
There’s a small MSC—mostly in DC and South Florida—that posts most shops only on its own Shopmetrics site, but will occasionally put some on GigSpot when they’re having trouble finding a shopper. (I know this firsthand from the company owner—and because I wouldn’t have seen the shop otherwise.)

I prefer GigSpot since it’s easier to have a one-stop shop (heh) for all shops and not get bombarded by emails from a dozen companies, most of which inevitably aren’t of interest. (I really just do restaurant/food shops, plus gas and parking when it’s convenient.) But maybe I’ll have to bite the bullet and sign up for each individual MSC.

One tip: you can put a period in a gmail address (e.g. mystery.shopper@gmail.com) and it will send to the address as though there’s no period there, but allow you to register on a Shopmetrics site even if you’ve used mysteryshopper@gmail.com on GigSpot.
