BARE’s confusing email

For the one where you fail a test. Email titled “$200 shop!”

I’ve done these before, and the shop is 100 miles away from home, so I read the rest of the email.

It seems $100 of the $200 is an “opportunity to win a $100 gift card”.

Did anyone here get that email? I hastily sent a note to the sender that I didn’t consider an opportunity to win $100 as being remuneration.

Did I misunderstand the email?

Yeah, bogus. The email title says $200 shop, and the email says it pays a shop fee of $100 plus an opportunity to “win” a $100 gift card. That’s NOT a $200 shop! That’s a $100 shop.

I'm glad you let them know it was misleading. I'm sure they don't care, though. MSCs are looking for those shoppers who will work for a "chance" at getting paid.

Actually, I was pleasantly surprised that I received a reply. He said they strive for clarity and, of course, I was the ONLY shopper who was confused. And could I suggest how they could improve clarity? So I responded title the email urgent $100 shop. Or, go ahead and pay $200 for the shop: both solutions work for me!

I haven’t heard further.

Cease, too many of their shops are trying to bait folks into breaking the law or doing something that will cause them to get fired. I won't set folks up for failure if I can avoid it.

Sounds like a BBB or attorney General complaint for false advertising to me, if you're so inclined.

Amazing how companies snap to when they get a letter from the state attorney general.
