Marketforce being spiteful?

Everybody knows that I refused to sign the ICA that said they aren't required to pay if you earned less than $50. My son got a scheduler call several months ago, and he brought the scheduler in here on the phone and had me explain why we weren't signing the agreement. The scheduler didn't believe me, so I sent an email to the scheduler, at their request, showing exactly what I was concerned about. They apparently didn't read the agreement before they signed it, like most folks did.

The scheduler suggested that I send my concerns to the helpdesk email. So I did. There was a series of emails with someone at the helpdesk, and then I was blocked. Not simply deactivated, but blocked, I can't even access my payment and tax info on their site. This happened in May of this year.

When another new ICA came out a few weeks ago, I read it. All of the info about payment limits has been removed. So I told my son that he could sign it, and he could go back to doing work for Marketforce. I also sent an email to the helpdesk and asked to be unblocked, because I had read the new ICA and I have no objections to it, and I would like to sign it and go back to working with them. That was last month, and I have not heard from them at all, and I am still blocked.

I'll send one more email. And I guess we'll see where it goes from there.

I don't think I've ever crossed paths with @mfisherri before, but this sounds like her cuppa joe.
I can understand why you might not wanted to have signed the agreement, but in all reality, it wasn't that big of a deal. People who signed it were still paid and there were no problems.

Afterall, doing work for them is a choice. It's not like your employer demanding you sign something or they fire you.

I'm just playing devil's advocate, but was not signing it earlier in the year (or late last year) really worth it for the headache you have now? I'm just wondering if it was a battle worth fighting. Some are and some are not.
I lost nothing by not signing. Reading the threads I was aware of decreased pay/bonus/MAO opportunities. I shop for money and can easily forego a tiny burger or out-of-pocket chicken fingers. I had enough work elsewhere to keep afloat.
Hb, it's not a headache for me either way. I did what I thought was right, and if I'd not engaged the helpdesk at the schedulers insistence I probably would still be eligible to sign the new agreement. I also find it very strange that they suddenly redid the ICA right after all that happened. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall to understand their motivation to fork with us this way though.

I was banned 2017 the week Marketforce switched photos in reports and banned many shoppers. I have sent several e-mails and the only response has been that they can ban anyone they want at any time for any reason.

Hi Morledzep - If you send me your shopper ID or email address via PM I'll take a look and see if I can get to the bottom of this. Thanks!

They can, that's the truth. But I didn't do anything wrong except try one more time to point out the problem to someone in charge or get an explanation. And I think that the new ICA coming out so soon after that seems suspect to me. As if whoever it was in management didn't know that the ICA said that either and did something about it. But I'll never know. And it's probably none of my business anyway.

Either PM mfisherri or call their main number.
MFI fired me in 2010, but knowing me, I would not have signed off on an unacceptable contract condition. I compliment any shopper who. deciding the verbiage was not to their liking, also refrained.

I played, jumped through their hoops, sent PMs, sent emails. Still no response at all, not even an "I'm sorry, I can't help you." At least so far, but I'm not hopeful at this point.

Morledzep should be all set now smiling smiley

While I don't get in here as often as I would like to, I do check regularly and will respond as soon as I can.
Thank you Sherri, I took care of my end. I appreciate your help. There seems to be very few shops available in my area, and most are still at base pay. And I doubt the one MAO that is there will pay what I want to drive that far from home. So, as usual, I wait.. seems to be how things happen around here these days.
Ok, it's all fixed.. I signed a good ICA and I'm happy. Thanks for all of your support, and special thanks to Sherri for going out of their way to get it set right.
