ipsos question

I clicked on shop dates on the ipsos sites just to see what was available. I inadvertently wound up assigning myself for a shop which I was not intending to do. it is set for 3 days from now. I do not want to jeopardize my standing with them- will the shop simply drop off if I do not do it? or should I try and contact someone? which has always been a real hassle.

It's a shame they do not use the CANCEL SHOP feature. I have seen it within Sassie for a couple of companies, but most do not use it. It will just fall off. I'm guessing it's the Chinese fast food? How do you assign yourself accidentally? It takes a few clicks to assign.
They do have a cancel shop function, although it is hidden. When you open up the shop form, there is a little green head in the top right corner. From there you can cancel shops.

I don't know what is worse, canceling or letting it drop off. I usually let it just drop off unless I plan to claim it again and want to get the cooloff period done sooner.
I'll have to go look. I guess I never have seen that, but I also have not been looking to cancel shops either.

I think I saw one on the shop log with one company near the help/contact feature. or maybe it was on the right sight with the guidelines and view/submit shop.

On Shopmetrics? Or Sassie? Or both? OP didn't say which platform. I've never found it on Sassie.

The only place the "green head" for cancellation exists is on Presto. There is no way to cancel an IPSOS Assignment on Sassie. Usually a shop can be cancelled on Shopmetrics by clicking on the 3 dots next to the shop and choosing Decline.

I emailed them asking why a certain shop was not in my area but there was one 20 minutes away. I never received a reply sad smiley
Lord have mercy. I assigned a mall shop (closed at 6 pm and opened at 11 am) a couple of days ago. I realized at 5:40 PM that they closed at 6:00 PM. I could not move it to the next day since my flight left at 12:30 PM.

Tonight, I went to a location (out of town) that had terrible internet. I finally got the app to load so that I could place my order. Normally, I would check the scenario, but the internet was one bar, and I was so certain that I assigned myself the online order. Nope, I just went to enter it and it's dine-in.

I am 1 for 3 this week on this shop. I sent an email, but I'm pretty sure it is going to fall off.

It happens to everyone.
@BayShopper22

When in doubt, do both scenarios. Then you are covered, but that defeats the point of doing the shop :-P

I really don't have the issue with dine-in/online. I basically won't take a dine-in for base pay. I could have a problem with drive-thru and online order though. Good thing is that most PE do not have drive-thru.

I could have sworn I saw presto mentioned., but I guess not. This is for presto.
I've never had an issue with letting shops drop off Presto. And that includes re-assigning during the supposed cooling off period.

Have synthesizers, will travel...

I emailed a scheduler who had always been helpful in the past about some shops I had scheduled in Sassie. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to do the shops or not and I knew that they would automatically fall off my shop log at midnight. She replied that for every shop that falls off, an “auto flake” citation is given to the shopper. I don’t know about penalties or anything but they’re recorded in your profile.

Are they invisible? My last shop is a 10. I have been watching the "last shop" number all week. I dropped 2 in the last 7 days. I don't think that is correct. I also have no citations.
They probably due track the "flakes" but as long as you are doing much more than you are flaking, I think you will be okay. Also, I'm sure they can track flakes closer to the deadline and penalize those more than the flakes when the new period is first released.

I cannot say for certain, but think of it in a sports stat where they look at your +/- and how you are doing overall. If you have 1 flake for every 20 shops, I doubt they are really concerned. But if you are a 1 in 5 flake, I think you will start to run into trouble. I would venture to guess at some point the amount of flakes and the longevity of the shopper and quality of shopper you are would be taken into account as well before any suspensions or terminations. I doubt it's just some magical number and you are "booted." These are all hypothesis on my part though.

They do not show up for us to see - so yes, they’re invisible to shoppers. Ratings do not necessarily reflect citations and I think the only cites that show up are ones that are manually entered or generated by Sassie.

They sure are slow this time around to edit the PE shops. I have stuff that I did from 9/11. Normally it's a few days in the beginning and it gets quicker as the period draws to a close. However, I don't remember it taking more than 1 week to get them "accepted."
