Ipsos and “Mets Stadium” bank

If you aren’t a baseball fan, Google “Mets Stadium”.

Anyway, I’ve been hearing some strange stories about Ipsos and that particular client.

1. I had someone tell me that completed a $50 shop for them back in June. It was in pending review status for two months before the shopper brought it to their attention. After it was brought to Ipsos’ attention, they rejected the shop without an explanation.

2. There are a ton of “Mets Stadium” bank shops on the job board here in the NYC area. I’ve had shoppers tell me that they haven’t been assigned any and that hardly any of them have been assigned to other shoppers. This has been going on for two months now.

3. Finally, another shopper told me that they had one of their $50 shops rejected a day after they turned it in because they marked down that they didn’t ask the first banker they met a question about opening an account. They also told me that another shop was bounced back to them, while the other two shops were left in pending review status. They made the corrections a few days ago and now 3 out of their 4 shops are still pending review. So how come the editor was quick to reject and bounce back a shop, but not quick enough to accept the possibly other two good ones?

Mind you, these “Mets Stadium” bank shops are high paying and there wasn’t any problems when they were with SeeLevel HX.

It makes you wonder.

Interesting.

I've done a bunch of these over the years. Mostly the overdraft scenarios, but some of the credit card ones as well.

Always quick and easy work with good pay, and no issues after the fact.

What I found stupefying about the experiences was that in dozens of visits over the years, only one banker asked for my name. In an industry that is entirely relationship-based...

I think you’re thinking of the octagon bank. I haven’t seen a “Mets Stadium” overdraft shop yet.
When the heck did they change the name? I Googled "Shea bank" because I thought I knew something. I guess I've been gone way too long!

The Mets haven't played at Shea Stadium since 2008. They moved into the current stadium in 2009 and Shea Stadium was torn down that year.
