Yeah, that was definitely an issue for me when I lived in the crowded northeast, where the stores are often crammed into tight spaces and have narrow aisles. Sometimes you can't get the whole shelf top to bottom from a straight on position.@OEShopper wrote:
Does anyone else have issues with Field Agent's In-App camera? Particularly how dumb it is in the fact that it doesn't allow you to zoom out? Some of these shops have a requirement to take a photo of the entire shelf from top to bottom, but when the aisle is so narrow, there is no way for me to step back enough to get that all in one frame. Yet, if I take a photo from my phone's camera, I can zoom out and take the required photo. But the MSC won't allow photo from your own camera and only accept photo from the app.
The kicker is that the app photo have a zoom-in function. which is completely useless, because I can always step forward to get closer. It's stepping back that is impossible.

The first time I ran into that situation, I tried to take the photos from an angle. The report was rejected. When I explained that a straight-on photo capturing everything wasn't possible, I was told, "You should have canceled the job."
Oh. That's brilliant, Field Agent. Waste my time and mileage, and the client doesn't get the information. Sounds like a plan.
At least their app actually takes photos, unlike IVueIt which constantly malfunctions.

Make sure you have updated the app. They recently updated the app to allow you to zoom in and out. I don't do as many jobs for them now, but I have done a few since the last update and I really like the feature. I'm on an Android device.

I'm on android, and do have the latest version, v3.22 (or at least that's the latest available to me on the google play app), but still no zoom out ability. what version are you on?

I have been able to zoom out most of the time but sometimes you just can't. In those cases I either take it from an angle or two two photos if it's possible and put a note in. So far I've had the jobs accepted.
