Observa rejecting my observations

Submitted for three stores last week, was told for each shop my photos were taken from too far away and they were all rejected.

Repeated one of the shops a few days ago and made sure to capture photos at a closer distance. This time it was rejected due to all photos in same category not being taken from same distance.

I've done many stores for them taking pictures at same distance as the first three last week, and never had a problem having them accepted. And I don't remember taking any photos of same category at different distances in my retry of one shop.

I also noticed these same stores were seemingly done by other people (saw they were claimed, then disappeared that day), and then showed back up as available. Me thinks whoever is looking at these shops is being very picky, so for right now Observa opportunities are a hard pass.

Anyone else getting seemingly fine observations rejected by Observa?

Wow, that's rough! Was it the 15 category shop? Those are way too much work to begin with!

Ah yes, Observa. Welcome to the club. I tried to do a few jobs for them a couple of years ago. Rejected for "blurry" photos. I check my photos before submitting; they were NOT blurry.

They are as crooked as hell. Observa is strictly 10-foot-pole for me. I wouldn't go to my backyard to do a job for them.
Hit or miss with them. They rarely have work worth doing. Recently did a bunch of small supermarket jobs where they wanted pics of gum in checkout aisle. Was easier than i thought so i did one and waited to see if it was approved. After approval, i did a bunch. I know i have had rejections from them in the past.
Once upon a time, I tried a few Observa shops on my way driving home from the gulf (8 hour drive), I did 4, took extra pictures like I always do for just in case. I got about halfway home and checked my email before I went into the next store. EVERY single shop was rejected, no chance of fixing them, I wasn't going to drive 4 hours back to the gulf and start again. So I gave it up, filled the gas tank of the car and headed back home with no more delays.

A few days later I tried to do another one closer to home, trying to learn from the mistakes I thought I had made on the road. But, again, my shops were rejected. I had taken the pictures they claimed that they wanted in the shops I'd done days before, but those were wrong too.

Then I came here and found a thread about Observa, and I realized that they didn't want any pictures at all, they automatically reject everything. No one seems to ever get paid. I deleted my account and the app from my phone and never looked back. I don't need to play stupid head games for $5 or $7.
10 sections of the store. If I get there relatively early in the AM I can do a shop in 30 minutes.

Sorry, that was meant as a direct reply to sshhhopper.

I did some of those shops last year. All were accepted, even one I couldn't complete because the manager gave me the boot.

I saw the recent round of those shops in my area. Passed on 'em, can't remember why. Certainly would have been a better use of time than the four grocery shop observations I did.

Also saw a bunch of auto store shops which were revealed audits / observations. Was tempted to do a few but they seemed like a lot of work for $25. They were scooped up fairly quick.

Observa put out a new round of 10-section grocery store shops this evening. Someone already claimed two nearby shops at $7 each. Good luck!

Observa employs editors who were canned by Coyle for being too anal.

AKA, they *bleep*ing suck. I swear they get paid to reject observations.
I did one of those 10 section shops awhile back because it went to $20. It did get approved, but I spent forever making sure the shots were perfect. No way I would do one for less than $20.

If you like those kinds of shops they are on Field Agent all of the time, and I have discovered that they will accept whatever pictures you take.

I did several of the gum shops without issue--those were really quick and easy.

I wish we had a confidential section of black list editors who sit in the comfort of their own home and scrutinize every syllable and alphabet of shoppers who wade through rain and snow and sun and mud to get the shops done. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them jumping from one MSC to another. I can almost tell when one left and they got a new one. Some of these are really passive aggressive and find joy in rejecting shops seemingly.

At least Secret Shopper seems to have gotten rid of the jerk who told everybody to download Grammarly and write "professional" reports. Haven't dealt with that jackwagon in a while. I wonder where that specimen landed.
