Those are gone in my part of NY as well. Also gone are the orange logo home improvement stores, the shipping shops, and the fleeting program they had with the single bill stores.
The drive in stall shops aren't necessarily gone. They said they are restructuring the shops, I have received a couple emails about it. Though we haven't seen any of the shops revised shops here yet. The shops have never been a priority, they just fill in routes AFTER they are bonused.
I use the drive in stall shops as fillers as well. Why not? They take a few minutes, you get free food if you like that stuff. I wish they would come back, they are quick, easy and a good source of income when bonused not to mention the payment is the next week.
Haven't seen them where I live. Hopefully it comes back. Have one located in every which direction and always pass by one. Seen the shops consistently posted with this MSC and the previous one for a long period of time.
The drive-in chain has many more locations in the South than the North. Or that was my experience when I lived in Dallas. They were supposed to open a location near me up North, but didn't.

Right now the nearest location is 60 miles away. Call me weird, but I think they have a decent burger.

I used to do them all the time in Dallas. Free food and decent pay.

I can see how they would be perfect fillers on a route.
They still have some of the drive-in shops. I think it has to do with whether the location is corporate-owned or franchised, because the Ipsos job board listing now reads "[Name of Chain] Partners."

Concurrently, I have seen some listed on Field Agent, for the all-too-familiar fee of $3. Shove it, Field Agent.
The Skater drive-ins are successful for what reason..,? the food is crap...the service is hit and miss, and it sure ain't cheap....yet they switch MSC's with such regularity, it is clear they are just "putting a check in the box"..... They live off new franchisees...it's like a fast food Ponzi scheme!
Good to see that the plump bamboo-loving, donation-soliciting, and drink-depriving bear made it out alive. I was worried that it was on the verge of extinction with the current MSC.

-howls with laughter- I ate there today (non-shop) and couldn't bring myself to order a drink. It's like I'm indoctrinated! I went down the street to the big red button where I'm allowed to have a drink.

The big red button drinks are just better.....

When you mentioned big red button, I was stuck on Krispy Kreme. My mind read big red button, but my head was thinking about the neon red Hot Light.

I had a similar moment at Kroger. I've been doing Kroger shops for over the past four years, but have to give it up now. I walked inside a Kroger to make a quick purchase, and I started looking for the nametag of the produce associate. When I realized I no longer have to shop Kroger, it was a great feeling of relief. I realized just how much of a hold $9 pay / $9 reimbursement shops and $32 reimbursement pick-up shops had over me. Good bye, Kroger!

Alas, the hot light is all that remains standing of my local Krispy Kreme. -sighs- Guess I'm back to having KKs as an out of town vacay treat.

Feels good, doesn't it? I'm close to being there myself, thanks to their dumb rotation rules. I took my mother out to eat today at a local place. I told her on the way home how refreshing it was not to have to write about my lunch.

I guess we can all get so wrapped up in shopping that we don't realize there's life outside a reimbursed meal.
