C'mon, Ipsos! You're not even trying...

I leave tomorrow on a 6-day road trip to celebrate my birthday.

Looking to schedule the usual suspect gas stations on the way out and back.

Logged in and did a search this morning.

Due date for all open gas station visits was yesterday.

Refreshing web pages is the modern day equivalent of watching paint dry.

Cool, I'm assuming you're talking about the Sassie side. I've noticed when I actually "click to assign" on a job, it lets me select a date that's one day beyond the date it gives on the job board. Yesterday, I snagged two of the $30 cell phone shops that said they had to be done yesterday, but I could pick today's date. That won't help you for six days, but you can at least assign them and hope they'll open up for date changes.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense. It's early, and I'm tired.

I've noticed this on occasion as well.

In this case I still need most of the locations to flip over to the next window. So far, only the conditional reveal gas shops have been updated with new due dates. Was able to snag a couple where the day parts fit my schedule.

You made me go look, as I was leaving “claiming” the shops until I was ready to leave! Thanks for the heads up!
So, the job board says due yesterday but the “apply” page allowed me to schedule it for today. FYI!

And remember not to let them “fall off” so you don’t get that flake citation!

It would never have occured to me, without this post, to click the self assign tab to see if dates were available past the posted due date. Silly me.
I assigned some route shops on the other system that said I had 96 hours to complete, and I just checked and they expire in six hours, even though they were assigned yesterday. It says 48 hours in one place and 96 hours in another, but I only saw the 96 when I assigned them. This will mess up a trip I had scheduled.

That's what I was getting at in my first post. -chuckles- I'm seriously sleep-deprived.

This will be interesting because I was going to do a one-day'r for tomorrow, and I loaded up five shops. I then decided that the math didn't math, so I'm going to let them all fall off. We'll see if I end up with five new citations to add to my collection. Stay tuned.

And the latest gaming the system dilemma:

Heading to a resort town on Saturday, because that will be the least rainy day up that way.

Currently a Famous Highway gas station shop is available there, but the last day to shop is Friday.

I've almost convinced myself to go ahead and book it for the last available day, then wait for the project window to flip to the next dates and reschedule it.

If they don't flip the dates, I will have earned yet another valuable shopper citation!

Meanwhile, I have to sit for another 2 days to try to snag a nicely bonused Mollusk in the same area in the Magic app because the claiming window is only 48 hours instead of the usual 96.

Just more instances of platform shenanigans making it more difficult for us route shoppers.

If you email Liz directly about the Mollusk shop, she is very good about responding promptly and can extend it for you. I had to reschedule my trip since mine expired during the night, and it was too late to get started on the long route once they were reassigned.

Nope, no new citations here. They fell off several hours after midnight [so much for "they'll go away at midnight"], and I got the standard "it's been removed; if you're still interested, check the job board" email. I didn't think about signing up for one again to test the "24-hour cooling off" period. I doubt these made it back to the job board.

So, Ipshitz's new mandates aren't fully implemented, if at all.

Edited to add: This is for Sassie. I don't mess with Presto.

yeah but sometimes they fall off -- you get the standard communication and you find you have been blocked from that program all together and can't get anymore shops without begging someone and usually sitting in purgatory for a few months (found this out after an accident that kept me from completing some gas shops) I still think I am blocked from one of them but since they have all gone to presto I can't be bothered.

They've said all along that you risk being banned from the program for repeated flakes. Now, what "repeated" means has never been defined. I'm sure it's an arbitrary number that changes every day.

Like the suspiciously vague "Reduced compensation."
It all depends on how badly they need shoppers. I was banned from TXRH shops (different MSC) by that notorious scheduler over a year ago. Yet today I get an email from her asking for help getting some shops completed.

"Reduced compensation" and "Closed-location fee" must be cousins.

How about the, "$25 Electronics!" shop that, when you click on it, shows the pay as $16? Guess which big-box MSC that one's for.

I'm kicking myself for not thinking to do this. The Mollusk in the resort town went to $75 and I missed out while sitting waiting for the narrow window to align with my schedule up that way.

While I wish Liz would actually post job listings in her outgoing emails instead of requiring a reply first, she has always been helpful when I've had to adjust things on some routes.
