IPSOS (yes, I’m complaining!)

I received an email inviting me to claim some $75 gas stations. The email explained how to claim them on Presto. Alas, they were not on Presto.

A week later, 2 days ago, I received another email. This one gave the locations. Seven were local to me. Aha! I’ll grab them right now! Alas, still not on Presto. I wrote to the person who sent me the email. Of course, no reply. I followed up with an email to the address included in their email. Again, crickets. Deadline is, of course, today.

And this is the company who proudly, loudly trumpets “Got questions? We’ve got answers!”

I have NEVER received one USEFUL answer since the major changes. My questions are never silly, irrelevant to the project, or too wordy.

I’m really fed up.

Hi, y’all. Glad to sort of be back. I had hand surgery finally a month ago, and can now text (but not type: only one working finger now on right hand). It’s tough!

Welcome back Ceasesmith. I noticed your name on another thread the other day and was happily surprised to see it.
Two other things...seven stations near you? I am thinking your definition of near is not mine.
What you are experiencing is perhaps not anything like why I experience this every day. In most cases when I get an email from any msc with job offers they are all taken by the time I read my email. So yes, it is very frustrating and this may not be the reason in your case but in my big city the only way to get a decent job is to be proactive before the email comes out.
Good luck with your new tech challenge. I hear many shoppers are using the dictation method filing reports. I am hoping this will work well for your challenged fingers. I too will try it out someday.
hey cease!!! glad you're back! I never see the shops they say are available on Presto in emails either. I check Presto daily, all I see are base pay gas station shops. Some others have seen visa/debit shops that came and went in a day, they didn't seem to be available here at all. Who decided they were so great that they had to be swept up as soon as they were posted anyway? They were just barely worth doing at $30.

Hi, Sandy. I’m not home yet. The seven stations — well, one was 37 miles away (but routable), one is about 20 miles away (and, again, routable), and five were within 3 miles.

I’m temporarily in a town of 20,000 or so; very different for me. Lots and lots of shops, most of which disappear at base pay.

And yes, when I couldn’t find the shops after the first email, I did assume another shopper had grabbed them. But I couldn’t assume that after the 2nd email!

Just curious - to what major changes are you referring?
Usually if it is a great bonus, most of the shops get grabbed before the email hits. In this case they sent a second email, though. One thing to try is to log out of Presto to see if it is just a case of them not showing up for you.

I use to work with schedulers. They went to a system where I can’t work with schedulers. I had lovely schedulers there who would spend time on the phone with me, working out routes into 3 states. Now I can’t even get a question answered.
I'm gonna guess the scheduler's initials are LM.

They are notorious for sending out emails touting bonused shops, but requiring a reply to get the info instead of just posting the damned links.

Then, in response to designating the area where one will be working, they send a spreadsheet with every freaking location in the country listed.

I'm deactivating myself from this company - I had a problem with a shop (no fault of my own) and trying to engage with anyone there has proven to be an act of futility.

Can I do an Ipsos shop before the date I said I would do it?

On the Shopmetrics platform, they usually give an end date. Most shops can be done before that but read carefully for blackout dates.

Sassie usually has a "change date" feature. For gas station audits, I schedule the furthest date out, and if I need to do it past that date, I wait and usually the date can be extended. However, for restaurant shops, particularly the drive in/thru sandwich-fries-drink shop, do not count on any dates except the one you scheduled being available.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.
