Effing Presto!

Anyone else get assigned jobs just by looking at them in a browser and not claiming them?

Happens all the time to me. While they eventually go away, shoddy tech implementation is always annoying, at least to me.

I have a couple of Famous Highway loops for the coming week, and I'm hoping to fill some holes. Doing the click and drag since the site only supports a 5-mile radius (see comment above).

This time I saw a different C-Store project with several locations available. Checked out the guidelines, and did the qualification, but did not claim as there were timing issues: 12 hours to complete the shop, but the project doesn't start until tomorrow, so... WTF?!?!? It still showed up in my Incomplete Shops list for awhile.

This is standard. When you click on a listing, it is "reserved," and stays in your incomplete shops for three minutes or whatever, and then gets tossed back if you don't claim it in that time.

Confused the heck out of me at first, making me think another shopper was grabbing each shop just after I looked at it. It caused me to grab a bunch of shops in a race with the other shopper when it turns out it was just me the whole time.
I also saw those gas shops with decent reimbursement but 12 hours doesn't work for me. Also, most in my area disappeared after the first day, leading me to believe that there are quotas. For instance if you see 5 GasZ brand shops and take one, the other 4 might disappear because you've filled the quota. So you couldn't really make a day of them. Because so many different brands were showing, it seems like it's a competitor shop and they just need a sampling.
Presto - Your report contains an image that has been used more than once.

Me - I just uploaded 47 photos and probably just picked a wrong tiny pic by accident. Can you give me a FRIGGIN CLUE which ones are in question? I can't find it!

You may not even have a duplicate. If you upload a photo, then decide, "Oops, that's in the wrong spot," and remove it. If you add that photo back in another slot, the app will generate that error, too. I'll often add a note that I do not see any duplicates, but if there are, just send it back and I will promptly fix it. I've yet had one returned.

There is the truth.
Then there is the right thing to say.
Ah, that makes sense (but doesn’t). I got the message on 3 reports last week, but all were accepted without being returned for correction. So the warning is even dumber than I thought!
While I am certainly not a fan of her's, didn't Nancy Reagan once quip about Presto, "Just say no"?
That rude b*tch.

It should have been, "Just say no, thank you."

I've found one way to avoid the "you have duplicate" message when I need to remove a photo and upload it elsewhere is to change the name of the photo before reloading it where I really want it; the system then doesn't know I "used" it earlier. I do this only with computer-entered reports.
