Coyle Submitted Shops

I may just be completely missing it but I cannot figure out how to see previous shops submitted on Coyle. I completed by first shop 6/5 and on all other platforms you can see the status and prior shops completed. On Coyle it’s like it completely disappeared. It is not in my mailbox, I only see upcoming shops. I want to make sure it was received and is under review but their site doesn’t have a full shop log that I can find. Does anyone know if they have this on their platform?

Try "my settings," then "pay history."
What bradkcrew said, is how I see the shop status for completed surveys. Once it's OK for pay, and the payment end date for the period has passed, the shop will then get captured on the pay statement.

Speaking of Coyle, has anyone ever NOT gotten a grade for a shop you did for them? I have once--there were no questions and I was paid. Should I assume 100?!?!?!?
This recently happened to me a couple of months ago. It may have been one or two smaller shops that wasn't narrative intensive, but a lot of questions that required short comments.

It is a little unique how the results and grades get emailed to you.
They are getting better about sending feedback lately, but at times, I would get a grade around 50% of the time.

Once it's marked "OK for pay" or hits the pay statement, you are good to go, and they are happy.
I have not received a grade, score, or feedback for my last 3 reports. The reports were marked "ok for pay." I wish I knew how to understand my rating so I could improve if needed?
Just wanted to give an update. Recently submitted a report for a two-night hotel stay. It got approved a little under one week. Some other smaller shops have taken up to two weeks I want to say. Hoping that the folio charges get reversed in a timely manner. Also received shop results / grades through email.

I also have not received scores for my past 2 or 3 shops. I also think they have new editors who are sending back questions looking for a level of reporting that would not have occurred before.
I saw a hotel shop but was nervous to apply since the hotel would be over $600 a night. I am very detailed in my narratives but I did not want to risk not getting reimbursed for that amount of money. Has anyone had issues with them denying shops over minor issues? I can't imagine being out $1,200 if they deny shops and don't provide feedback.
For hotel shops I've done with them, the largest amount on a folio was around $1,500. After two months, when I saw that I wasn't being issued a refund to my credit card, I reached out. To Coyle's credit, they continued to bug the client until I was paid. I want to say it required two follow-ups over a course of an additional month, but it did get reversed. While that may seem like common courtesy, it made me want to do additional shops for Coyle.

It's funny because the other small hotel chains, I've had no issue. But the luxury hotel client was the one that wasn't paying up.

Sorry, editing to add one more part. For the large reimbursement/payment/bonused shops, from my experience, with all of these types of shops and MSC I worked with, I believe they are very cognizant of this, especially with large amounts coming out of your pocket. They want to make sure you succeed. Everyone loses a lot of time, effort, and money on a rejected shop like this.

Just an update about a recent hotel shop, the refund for the folio charges got posted to my credit card around a week and a half after the shop got approved. Fastest turnaround I've seen so far.
Not that I'm dying to do a hotel shop - the very idea makes me nervous - but I'm wondering about something. If receiving your money back for the hotel charges comes as a refund/reversal of charges on your credit card rather than a reimbursement from the MSC, do you lose any credit card rewards you may have earned from the purchase? Receiving a 2% back of a hotel stay could be a nice little chunk of change, but a refund on the card would blow that.

Just wondering.

Correct, you wouldn't earn any credit card rewards because the hotel charges get refunded to the credit card you used to book the stay and charge. Any nights earned toward hotel loyalty status would be lost, as well.

Each client and shop is different, where a shop may allow you to pay for a meal with credit card, but not charge the room. In that case, it would be part of the shop payment and reimbursement, and you could earn credit card rewards on that.
That's good to hear. For me, it's gone the other way on previous shops. On my most recent shop, this is the first time I did it with this chain, but the credits for the stay is currently still there.
Thanks for everyone who has shared their insights. I just did my first two Coyle hotels. They were essentially staycations and were greatly enjoyed by my spouse who got to indulge in room service, turndown service, and cocktails at the bar. The reports did take quite a few hours but since Coyle allows an extra day for submission I could spread out the workload — after checking out I essentially had three full days to finish what I hadn’t already written. Unfortunately the restaurants were awful so that did reduce the value but gave me plenty to write about.

Up next is a hotel plus travel expenses to a very expensive destination so the workload will be well worth my time. Happily none of these have spas or golf courses so that reduces the evaluation and report responsibilities.

Sorry the food experience was not so good.

Their new client I'm still finishing the report on tonight had amazing food, and I think that's one of the big added values for my wife and me. No cooking or dishes, or worrying about where to eat. It's all been decided for us!

The credit card points are reversed but if I shopped a national chain hotel with loyalty points, you get them. Just a warning since you are new to hotel shops. If your hotel folio is charged close to the statement cut off date, you might have to pay in advance if you don't carry a balance like me. It happened to me twice, I paid it, it got reversed, and I ended up with a large credit balance (around $3500).

I was amazed when my folio was reversed 48 hours after report approval! Maybe they do them in batches and I just lucked out.
