Curinos and their iPhone Requirements

I've been signed up with Curinos for a while, but 99% of their shops require an iPhone. Have any of you Android users completed any shops with them?

I don't understand their iPhone requirements.

They want screenshots of how things work on an iPhone with different banks/ credit cards/ etc.
I've come across times with my Android when it wouldn't allow screen shots of some bank pages. I wonder if that's why it has to be iPhone.

I finally found one that does not require an I phone so I will apply but it is very discouraging. Whatever system they are using to screen share works with an I phone I gather. I think the issue is screen sharing, not screen shots.
It's about screenshots. I did one project with Briana where I used my computer and she used her iPhone. Screen sharing was not an issue.

I am not an iPhone person but bought a refurbished one just to participate in Curinos projects. I even asked Briana which model I should buy. Then, I applied for several projects and didn't get any of them.

Major disappointment.
I "bit the bullet" and purchased an iPhone specifically for the triple digit Curinos shops, but, due to my lack of knowledge, I flubbed the work. So as not to waste the cost, I considered the Kia shops; they require a time stamp my Kodak could not supply. Unfortunately, W7 and an iPhone are, as I learned before applying, not always compatible. Perhaps the third time will be a charm.
So can I get an older phone if one of my friends have it lying around (I phone) and use it for these shops if I do not have a data plan for it...Basically just turn the phone on with no plan at all? It seems like it would have to be able to use data to share screen shots but can I just use my wifi in my home for that?

Just connect the iPhone to your WIFI or any public WiFi. Most fast food places, libraries, grocery stores will have public WiFi available. You don't even need to get out of your car just park close to the building.
Thanks Rosie
I was asking the question because I keep passing up the high paying Curinos shops with an IPHONE requirement. So if I get an iphone someone is no longer using I would be doing the Curinos jobs in my house so potentially I can do those jobs by connected the iphone with no plan to my wifi network at home. Would it need to be unlocked to do this? I have a friend who has a few locked iphones around.

AFAIK, using wi-fi should be fine but may I suggest checking with Curinos to find out what iPhone versions are acceptable? I am thinking about updates.

I'm sure it wasn't Curinos. But once upon a time I had considered buying an iPhone for a specific job, that would have been a recurring job and would provide a goodly amount of income. But I decided it was best not to compromise, and decided against it.
Many times for these shops, you have to download an app. I'm not positive how complicated that would be without service on a phone. You'd have to have an apple ID, possibly link a payment service to your apple ID, etc. I'm also not sure about how new the phone must be with updates required. Again, not sure about all of these things just trying to think out any possible snags. If you're applying for these shops, it might be worth asking some questions to the scheduler.
I did ask two different schedulers which models work for these jobs and both times I was told they did not know.

Oh, that's helpful! I feel awful for the person who bought one to do the shops and then never got one!
One of the schedulers told me that generally there is only one of each specific shop to be done. The pay is very good for this business so these shops are competitive and there are specific qualifications for each shop. It sometimes takes a few tries of the shops you are qualified for to actually be accepted but with the higher fees it is worth it to keep on trying. You do need to read all the qualifications carefully to make sure you meet them all.

Ask Briana for the right model to buy. I asked and bought what she recommended. Never got a shop.

Oh man. That is heartbreaking. I'd be so freaking irked. I hope it has come in handy in some other ways.
