Which tikTok girl? There are two I know of.

Kayla aka the “I make 50k a year mystery shopping just 15 hours a week”. She has really ramped up the grift in recent weeks with a new cheesy infomercial style ad.

My cousin sent me one of Kayla’s TikTok videos and I was shocked at what she says. I was pretty sure it’s again the IC agreement so came on the forum to ask. She’s now selling a $1000 program to teach people how to mystery shop. I don’t want to read through each IC agreement again so… isn’t giving the name of the client a violation of the agreement we have with each MSC?

So if she sells 50 programs a year, that's $50,000, lol.

I don't know what the ICAs say either.

Yeah there is a huge long thread on here about all this. Kayla jumps in to the thread and threatens to sue everyone. its pretty funny. The thread eventually had to be closed. you might look for it if you need some good entertainment.

Yes, it violates all of them. But she insists that the MSC's are fine with her making videos and that she has special arrangements and on and on and on and on....there is a very long thread on here about this, where she herself appears to tell us we are all going to be sued for questioning her. If you search for Kayla in the search option, you can probably find it.

I’ve had a similar discussion with a scheduler about 7 years ago. Long story short, she told me that some of schedulers can’t see the forest for the trees.

This is so juicy. I didn't know there was so much drama in Mystery Shopping. Yes Kayla says she has the permission of the MSCs to do her videos. I know her little small town and area well, and there is no way if she is doing all the shops, folk haven't caught on yet. Even the larger town that she drives to have to see her over and over and suspect something. Maybe she just gets lucky that she doesn't encounter the same employee over and over at the drive thrus. I don't know where she is finding all the drive throughs shops, I have only found one. I refuse to pay $1000 for her to tell me.

Oh No you didn''t LOLOLOLOL..I am rolling on the floor at the Mystery Shopping Drama. But you are right, she has ramped up her marketing. The $1000 is so over the top for pricing to help someone. She said she only makes $300 per person that signs up for her program because she has to pay her marketing company. That seems like a very bad deal for her.

Is the other Joanna? She only does Field agent stuff though, along with games and some of the money back apps.

Look, these MSCs are cutthroat. They don't care about the shoppers. Their only concern is scheduling these shops. I have been there with a scheduler banning me because of a damn ego trip. The fact that they have that much control sucks. You literally have to kiss their asses and keep it cool cuz It's your money on the line.

How they hell can they really PROVE your a shopper though? What did they say ?

Get a tik tok account and you can do the same.

She said she has contracted with the local franchise owners to do these shops and record them. Whether that is true, I am not sure. But it would make sense that she is not under the same ICA as a national program with someone like Chick Fil A or Bojangles. She seems to be smart and crafty, so I can't be mad at her for the grind.
