IPSOS "April Fools Joke"

Anyone see the "April fools" promo they are pushing? From $65-$150 on line training or in person w/ VIP access for up coming event in El Segundo, CA in the fall? oh, and 10% off for April Fools... - The joke is on them... Crap pay for a ton of shops; and they want us to "invest" in a "business" they fail to see value on. or treat the so called "valued shoppers" with dignity and respect. To pay and learn how to conduct their shops. Wow. IPSOS is GONE!

I'd be interested in hearing from somebody who attended last year and whether they gained any truly useful knowledge from it. I've always thought it ridiculous, pompous, arrogant, ostentatious—pick an adjective—that a company that's basically the McDonald's of mystery shopping thinks it sets the gold standard for the industry.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown

And if they quit drinking the Ipsos Kool Aid, a year later and a few dollars shorter.
After deactivating my account with Ipsos, I continued to receive shop offers. I mailed the stated address to bring this to their attention; the offers continued. Next, I sent their mail to my SPAM folder, but occasionally, as in yesterday, one slips through. That does not bother me; I simply redirect the mail back to SPAM.

The Ipsos business model of eliminating their competition, exploiting those in need and being a rapid bottom payer seems to have worked. It is difficult for me to imagine, though, they could possibly be successful in charging for their California conference. My final paragraph will contrast two situations.

17 yrs. ago, I was paid $15+$5 to assure a college student was at an eatery passing out credit card apps for a bank. During the program, it ran for several mos., I was given the OPTION of snapping a single pic for an extra $5. Two yrs. ago, Ipsos listed 1/5th a trillion dollar oil company's stations, REQUIRING at least 25 pics, for $12.50+$6.

And in 2022, IPSOS had company-wide revenue of €2.4 Billion. I am sure 2023, once the numbers are published, will be even more.
On the contrary, I like working for IPSOS. At least half my shops are for them and the pay at base which is the only way I can get any work here, is comparable or better to other msc pay. Perhaps it is because I am in a big city with little to no bonuses, In comparison tho their jobs are a whole lot easier so for the same grunt work pay I have less work to do.
Perhaps in bonus land you can get better pay than Ipsos. The better paying jobs I see here require tons and tons of narrative.
