Coyle restaurant questions - advice/formatting question

So... I just took FOREVER to do a restaurant for Coyle. I have done many in the past but this one seemed to be even more intense with the questions asked.

Is there any kind of easy way to strip the questions out of the forms?

I use time keeping app for timestamps and tracking quotes. This seems to work really well for me and I can usually do the reports really quickly.

This particular survey had many questions about small specifics (shined shoes, courtesies extended, name used, day greeting, etc). I tried pulling the questions out and writing the narrative in a google doc marrying together the time keeper document and the questions. All of the formatting really screwed up my document and I then ended up copying and pasting them into a list and then addressing them one by one.

I truly wish you could just answer all the nos and yeses in the comments and not in the narrative.

Anyway, this is also a small rant but if there are any suggestions as to a more efficient way to pull this info together I would be so appreciative and all ears.

I was kind of wishing I had two monitors and a bigger screen to try to get it all. I also work from a small laptop and between the size of the font and the formatting, I have kind of a hard time seeing all the information I need.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading and any suggestions!

Well...you've kind answered your own question already, but I can confirm...I have a GIANT monitor on my desk for my other work that's tied into the laptop, so I really only use the laptop screen for Zoom. The big monitor really helps with Coyle submissions, and speeds up the process, as does having a full sized keyboard on my desk.

Up on my screen when I write the narratives, I have the checklist in the browser, my word doc and my email with notes, all side-by-side.

I also have a narrative I am working on today that has some of these updated standards (perhaps we both had a similar amazing meal last night?), so I write the narrative as it happened in my brain, and then just add in sections for the new standards when I am proofing against the checklist, and come across things missing from the narrative.

I also save all of my narratives that I submit after I paste them from the word doc. If you get a follow up from editorial, you know exactly what you submitted that way.

I certainly hope we were dining at the same place, it was amazing!

As for extracting the questions from the survey - do you happen to know of a way to do that? I have copied and pasted but there's so much formatting that my google doc can't seem to be able to strip out. I don't mind adding in the details but when there are so many additional questions, it's just difficult to get that info to flow in a narrative. I REALLY wish that I could just address all of those items in the survey rather than weave it all it. I feel like inevitably end up with some random items like: there were no intoxicated guests being served, no one was seen eating behind the bar, and I was never in a position to see if the bartender's shoes were shined.

Thank god the meal was outstanding this time because all the little added questions really did add up to a lot.

For anyone else who may be having trouble with this kind of shop. While doing another one, I used the spit screen function on my tiny laptop. It helped immensely when I could not get the questionnaire to copy and paste without all the formatting.

I fee like this might be a newer feature in chrome but I'm able to do half and half to help me see the questions and also write narratives in a separate document. Hopefully this might help someone else out there with the same issue.
There are two ways you should be able to remove the formatting. If you paste into a Google Doc using Ctrl+Shift+V it should paste it without formatting.

Another way would be to open a Notepad document. Paste it into Notepad and then copy it from notepad and paste it into the desired document. If you click on Windows start button, you can type in notepad and press enter to open a Notepad document.
