It's cinnamon recall time!

This is like the 47th time I've attempted posting this. I'm in a hotel, and the wifi here sucks. My point is - when this shows up 46 other times, nobody scream at me.

RQA sent an email earlier today about recalls of cinnamon spice products. I picked up a maximum of ten locations, mostly at thrift/dollar store-type locations. No documents yet - visits aren't supposed to begin until Monday the 11th. There is no purchase involved, and inventory will be destroyed onsite. Obviously, this is a last-minute thing and seems to be fairly large-scale.

Let's make some money, y'all.

Loaded down with locations here. I took the max of 10. Going to go do them Monday, then grab 10 more.

Before anyone asks, the products potentially contain elevated levels of lead.

I guess I was fighting for my life to get the locations near my house because someone else grabbed them and I kept getting an error message. I did wind up getting other locations though. Can't wait to read these guidelines. There seemed to be a good many more locations so yay!
I have noticed many recall shops on this forum. Where do you find them? are they part of a MS company's listing or is there a separate place I should be looking?
I grabbed 10 for me and 10 for my husband on Friday. They had to send me a new link for resetting my user name and password on the app since they did an update. Friday night I no longer see the cinnamon job anymore. Guessing I will wait til Tom sends out the email.

Yes, all the jobs are gone. I hope they are automatically placed back into our accounts and this not another sign of the disorganization which is RQA.

Nothing mentioned about what this pays, but it appears several seem to think it's rather easy or lucrative (possibly both). Why not mention/list the pay?

I don't believe I am signed up with RQA. Based on @ServiceAward comment, they seemed disorganized. So should I really bother?
The pay for this specific project is either a flat $20 per location or $20 per hour. Either way, mileage is given at .30 cents per mile.

I've not seen a job yet that pays any different from those two choices.

@hbbigdaddy It costs nothing to sign up, but maybe some sanity, depending on the project. The last one I did was the Knorr soup one. I did not have any issues. All the other jobs I've done have been full of confusion and payment delays. There are no buybacks with this one, which is good. What concerns me is all ten jobs I selected disappeared some time between Friday night and today. That particular job is altogether gone. They made clear they were working out some things and would start the job on Monday. This was confirmed by the project head Friday evening in an email. I arranged my schedule to do the jobs tomorrow because there are tons of them near me, but you can only accept ten at a time. Now, with the jobs missing, am I going to have to get up tomorrow and claim them again? I hope not.

Yes, I find them to be disorganized and unresponsive to e-mails. IF you can get through on the phone, they do great.

Yep, all 10 that I picked on Friday have disappeared as well. Since they aren't starting till Monday, I just figured that they took them off until then, so no one would go and try to get them done before Monday. But then, if that's the case, why would they have even posted the locations before Monday?? Guess we'll just have to see what Monday brings!
@ServiceAward

Do they do any other types of shops or is it just product recalls?

I see this on their site before signing up. You gave them a photo?

You will need to supply a digital photo so we can send you an RQA ID that identifies you as a field rep and complete a W-9 form for payment processing.

Upon successful completion of the registration process you will receive information on accessing our project management website, RQA Service Manager. You will use this website to accept projects and enter data and payment information. This notice and other project communications are sent via email.

Chips paid more after they ran it for a couple of weeks.

Hard pass in the Bay Area. Make $20, get your windows busted out. Even in cities that are safe in some areas, the Dollar Stores are scary (the parking lots - not the stores themselves).

I'd do some, but only if I have a partner in the car.

Yes, you submit a photo that will be used on an RQA identification card that they mail to you. It takes a bit to go through the registration process, so you may not make it in time for the cinnamon project.

It can be confusing. The app is only used for reporting project data when you're onsite. Available projects, selecting locations, and reporting expenses/mileage/time are all done on the website. For any project that involves buybacks - it could be two months before you receive your reimbursement. Something to keep in mind. One downside with RQA is you're only given projects in your geographical area. There isn't a search function where you can see what's available if you're traveling out of your area. That would involve contacting RQA and them changing things on their end, which is more trouble than it's worth.

Other than that, it's been easy money. If you choose to be paid by the hour and you select a location out of town, you're paid for the time spent driving as well as the mileage.

Oh, yes, I do remember that now. My last two locations were $30. The chips were a nightmare, no wonder I'm trying to forget. smiling smiley

If you think the chips were a nightmare, you obviously did not do the laundry products. I still have PTSD from that one!
Just curious if anyone else's APP is doing what mine is. Whenever I click on "My Projects", it goes to a blank gray screen, and I can't do anything but close out the APP. I'm pretty new with this company, so this may be normal. I was wondering if it was normal or if there is anything I needed to do since the update occurred.
I'm not seeing that behavior today, and its definitely not normal for their app. Their app usually works great. You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I still don't see any jobs. Is that still the same for everybody else? No email from Tom either.

Well, I JUST NOW got off the phone with a man named Bill at RQA, and asked him why my cinnamon jobs had disappeared. He told me that there were only a certain number of stores that were going to be checked, and once that number was reached, they would be removing the rest of the stores. So I told him that in addition to the 10 locations that I had picked, that there were about 70 other locations that had NOT been picked, and asked him if ALL 80 locations would have been removed??? And that NONE of the stores in my area would be selected??? He said that yes, if the certain quota had been met, everyone else's locations would be removed. He said some folks are still seeing their locations, while others are seeing that they've disappeared. I asked him if he was getting a lot of calls about this, and he said yes. He also said for me to "Hold On", because there may be other locations coming back at some point.

So that's the store that I got, folks! C'est la vie!

Well that's a bunch of crappy crap crap.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Why not send out some communication about it. I'm annoyed
Okay, so, call them!! After reading @guysmom post, I called. I was told they had assigned too many locations. I pointed out that Tom's e-mail read as follows "Lastly, we have limited the number of assignments per rep to 10. We currently have an overage of locations assigned, so a subset of locations may need to be removed if not completed within the 72 hours of completion after project launch on Monday." The e-mail clearly says locations may be removed if not completed within 72 hours, but not before the project even started. I told the woman that I turned down work because I thought I was going to have $200 worth of jobs to do today and tomorrow. She was polite and apologized, but nothing else happened on the call. I ate lunch, then decided this was last straw with this company. I logged into my account to see about closing it out, and, to my shock, the jobs are back, and I have every one of my locations.

I don't know if everybody got them back or just me, but go look at your account. If they are missing, call them!!

Yep, mine are magically back as well. I'll be getting on these PDQ before they vanish again. I'm also taking a screenshot of my list of locations just in case.

Too bad today is all but shot. I'll be up early tomorrow to begin knocking these out.
