marketforce IC agreement new developement

They didn't change the agreement. Don't get your hopes up. But they sent me an email offering cell phone shop audits, and when I went to the page it said that if I claim a shop I am implying agreement with the new rules. So I just closed the window.

I know most of you have just gone ahead and signed. But now that Marketforce seems to be having payment issues, I think maybe I made the right choice to just not play.

I do not have any problems getting paid by Marketforce. I got direct deposits every month during 2023, and in January and February of this year.

No pay problems with direct deposit...a few days later than expected one time, but no biggie. Me thinks you are being stubborn and cutting off your nose.....etc...etc...

Notice--Before I express an opinion concerning an MSC that terminated our relationship. I always mention that my opinions are completely devoid of the slightest animosity.

Morledzep comments-- I think maybe I made the right choice to just not play.

Bob agrees--There is a reason why MFI has taken such a hard stance in this area. Your decision works for you and would for me. You and I would much prefer to be safe than sorry. So goes an old adage.
But they haven't taken a hard stance that hurt anyone. The OP continues to misunderstand what the new agreement says. It says if, and only if, you choose to be paid via gift card then you must have a $50 balance before cashing out. If you get Direct Deposit, you get paid monthly regardless of what your balance is. But certainly to each his own about deciding to work with them.
Clearly you have not been keeping up with the direct deposit thread, as Canadians were paid late last month, (Paid Feb 9th for Dec Shops) and as far as I know have yet to be paid this month. So there certainly may be an issue with payments.

Yes, I saw the Canadian thread and also read the explanation from the MF rep. Their bank was switched. So, they're working on it. Plausible to me. I highly doubt MF is in any kind of financial straits.

I have not shopped for them since they updated their ICA and stopped paying for tolls and parking in a sneaky way.

I don't know if they are in trouble but Ipsos must have hurt them.

Yeah thought the same thing until the Help desk gave a completely different explanation as to why my payment may be late. Three weeks after I had already been paid.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate your support.

Cassie, the ICA does NOT say specifically that you will be paid if they owe you less than $50 in any form. When it says that they will pay through direct deposit, no matter the amount they owe you, I will sign the agreement. If you can find where it says that specifically in the agreement, please show me. I have a saved electronic copy and I printed a copy of the agreement and I have read every word of it. And just because someone from Marketforce says on the forum, or in an email that the $50 rule only applies to gift cards, does not make it binding, and the company knows that.

Most of you are right, I AM stubborn. I don't sign away my rights without knowing it. I learned the hard way. Mystery shopping was my only source of income for a very long time, far longer than I had planned in the beginning. And I made my fair share doing jobs for Marketforce. But at the time they put out the new ICA agreement, I hadn't done any work for them in nearly a year, because they were no longer accepting my MAOs for the same amounts that I had done those same jobs for previously. So I'm not missing out on any significant amount of work or money. And if you are willing to work for the reduced amounts that they are offering, more power to you, I am not.
That's good that you don't need them to make your goals. I would miss them, but I don't do nearly as much for them as I used to do, especially since they stopped paying for tolls because we have a lot of tolls in NJ. I used to drive up and down the GSParkway for shops for them..but no more. Tolls could be over $10 and they're going up again. And their fees have been going downward. I do fewer shops, but get pretty good fees on the ones I do..or they are simple and mindless shops I can knock off in 10-15 minutes.

Either I get paid what I want, or I don't do them. As I have said when they call me, I have no intention of bidding against myself.

"It says if, and only if..." unless they ammended the agreement recently, no, it does not say that. That information was sent separately either in emails, help desk responses or forum posts. The legally binding contract that they wrote had no, "if, and only if" at all, therefore the information applies to all shoppers. And that is what some of us have an issue with.
Helana is correct. This MSC has steadfastly refused to amend the shopper contract, even in the face of losing ICs. Why? Folks, this is business and be assured there is a reason that is to their benefit. If not, when concerns first began appearing, the verbiage would have been altered.
Other than the occasional few day delay, I have never experience any pay problems with MF whatsoever. I have even changed my instructions on where to send my direct deposits several times, and once with very short notice, the payments have always arrived promptly in the right accounts.
