Different locations from last time, unless someone near me took all of the ones I was interested in last time, which I think is unlikely in my area. I only see a few delis. Decided to take one of them, hopefully they have decent stuff.

Did they pull them again? The local deli shop that I did not take is now gone. Fortunately, the one that I took is still assigned to me.

Actually, I found one more, a dry cleaner that's currently listed at $40. Which got me to notice that they're not showing the price of the deli shop that I have assigned. Any idea where to find it? Very odd.

All that's been on the board in my area are the same locations that have been on previous rounds, now with higher fees, but still nothing to buy. Lawyers, doctors, industrial machinery. For the $5 or less those reports would fetch, I just don't bother.

The new guidelines "strongly" urge the purchase of gift cards at places that you can't find 2 things for the exact same price within the reimbursement amount.

I got my car inspected yesterday prior to getting the license plates renewed here. The signs in the inspection station clearly indicate that they charge a fee for card usage, but there is no way that this place can be shopped.

That makes me wonder how many Smog Test Only centers got shopped like this and how that panned out for the shoppers. I have never seen anyone pay cash for a Smog Test anywhere I worked..

So, I assume they're gone and there haven't been any more added? I think they pulled a bunch, since a deli near me that was part of the $30 batch at the end of the last cycle disappeared, and I can't imagine that someone took it for $14 this time.

I saw a little mom and pop sandwich place come back for $14, and disappear while I was thinking if I wanted to claim it or wait till it goes up. The following day the remaining shops that had gone up to $40 all disappeared and didn't return. I would do a bunch more if they were to come back.

The place I got my car smogged this year took cash. In fact they preferred cash. Fortunately I had enough cash to pay as there was a charge for using a debit card. But who would be able to get two smogs on the same car to do a second purchase? I suppose they may sell something there like gas caps in case that is bad on our car.

There are a few shops out there and they are up to $20. Sadly, neither of the ones in my area are very close ot appealing to me.

The few shops that remained in my area were pulled June 1st and sadly I haven't seen anything since...I wonder if they are gone for good?

I don't remember though - what color do the pins show up as for these?

There don't seem to be any here. They used to have red pins, but what we get this time could be completely different. Either way, I only see gas stations, and QSR.

They show up with the store name, so easy to find in the app.

Amusingly there's been a discussion on Nextdoor about credit card surcharges, and one person is convinced that debit card surcharges are illegal in NY. Oddly, that may actually be the case but clearly it is not enforced and the credit card company is OK with it.,

I applaud this, because I'm tired of being surprised with an additional 2-5% fee for using a card, AFTER a meal.

That press release (i've seen it before) is ridiculous because they give an example of debit cards but then say "NOTE: This law does not apply to debit cards."

Submitted my first shop and it was approved in three minutes! Conveniently, it was a smoothie shop located at a supermarket I was going to anyway. I had tried to get it last time but it was one of those that disappeared.

I grabbed two at local take out places, earlier today. They're all gone now. But I'll have sushi rolls with dinner tonight and some kind of pita for lunch tomorrow!

Yes, gone for me as well. Either they have a quota that they need to meet or they don't want the editors to be overloaded. And I was just looking for some more to do on Friday. I actually was right next to a fast-food place where I wanted to get a chicken sandwich, but could have gotten shakes instead. Fortunately, I was able to get five to do yesterday, today and tomorrow. Hopefully they will return.

The ones in my area haven't been pulled yet. I did six yesterday, and two today, and all were approved lightning fast. I still have several in my queue that expire before noon tomorrow, so I won't be able to get them all done unfortunately. All of the ones listed were the exact same ones that went POOF last time.

There are a ton of nail salons available, but the scenario is ridiculous. They suggest you buy gift cards, and reimbursement is capped at $8. I just can't imagine going into a salon and asking for an EIGHT dollar gift card...and then suddenly deciding you need a second one...come on.

Yes, the salon $8 gift card is ridiculous. I went to a nail place that my wife goes to on the last batch of shops. Their minimum was $15, so I bought two of them, no surcharge. With the fee, I got reimbursed $30, so they were totally paid for. And $30 covers a mani/pedi for my wife, so she's happy.

I'm sooooooooooooo jealous! I usually can't walk out with just a pedi for under $60.

They were just back for a few minutes. I took two of them, and then they disappeared again. I had been looking at a 3rd and declined it and then they were gone.

For me the shops popped on as I was scrolling the app. I clicked on the 1st one on the list, and it was already too late! It was seconds!!!

In other news, I rushed around today to try to finish up the ones in my queue before they timed out. I was at the last one, and literally had one more word to type before I could hit submit. As I started to type the word, POOF, timed out, lost the shop.

That sucks about not being able to submit it in time, especially when you bought stuff that you need to get reimbursed for. I went out early to do the last shop I had left so i could get it submitted by 2pm when it was expiring.

The shops just came back again, and I got one more. Was thinking about another but was hesitating, and then they went away again. Will check again later or tomorrow when there will be a longer window.

Got paid today for all of the ones I'd done this week. Had to drive back to one of the places I did yesterday because I somehow did not have the picture of the menu board that I was pretty sure that I'd taken. I need to make sure that I take my own picture and not in the app. that way I know that I have it.

I have one more fast food place to do tomorrow, due by 1:10, so I'll get there at noon and probably submit it while I I wait for the food. I was going to do it today, but they were closed.

Did not see any shops return today.

The shops are back. I just got four more, including two closed locations (which sadly only pay $5 but I'll be nearby).

And just like that, they're gone.
