Is the base pay still $10? Don't see any in my area yet.
The ones I took are paying $14.
So, do I need to buy the same exact item down to the flavor? Trying to figure out if they'll reject my Cold Stone shop if the flavors are listed on the receipt. I guess I need to order and pay for one first, then look at the receipt and see how it's rung up and whether the flavor is on the receipt.

Yep!
If a different flavor is listed on the receipt you COULD have the shop rejected. I guess towards the end of the last round editors got pretty lenient, but they didn't start out that way!
@viv0412 towards the end of the last round they got lenient until they weren't! I know what you are talking about and they seemed to approve them quickly too. I went ahead and grabbed more and then they started the same junk where they questioned shops, rejected them, and were slow to review. The last point left me curious since I got the impression from emails that they really needed our help in getting these done quickly. I would caution those thinking of doing a bunch without feedback. Given the expense, you could be down hundreds before any get approved or worse find out that some were rejected.

@MisterBill I would buy the same flavor just to play it safe, unless, like you said, do one purchase and see what the receipt says and if it reads one scoop $5 without the flavor listed then you are good to go. I wouldn't put it past them to get back with you 8 days later and say, "hey Bill, do you have a pic of the ice cream you bought last week showing it was the same flavor? Could you be a dear and send that over so we can complete the report?"
There's a closed restaurant two blocks from me. The building is undergoing massive renovations. There is no sign where the restaurant space used to be. I don't even know if there is an address on the door or not, just a bunch of building permits. Perhaps if the building permit has the address listed?

What do you get for closed locations? $5 or half of the $14 that's being offered for the shop?
Did two shops today, Cold Stone and a nail salon. Cold Stone was easy, since they have a menu and give you itemized receipts Turns out I could have gotten two different varieties since it prints a generic name on the receipt but I hadn't checked before ordering the second.

The nail salon was more of a challenge. I had to purchase $15 gift certificates, which I didn't mind since my wife goes there and a mani-pedi will cost more than that. But the register was not working so I needed to get him to hand write receipts. But I did have the gift certificates with the amount, so hopefully no problems. I did get the "Your Presto Insta-Shop has been accepted!" emails, not sure if that means anything since they came in five minutes after submitting.

I was going to do a third, but the bagel store didn't have a good selection left, there was no menu showing a half dozen bagels, so I was concerned about getting paid if I bought those and I didn't need a couple of sandwiches. I had started the shop and don't want to submit it as unable to do shop so I will just let it time out. I did find a good Italian deli which I might do later in the week. Sadly, I would probably buy the $18 (!) eggplant sandwich. It better be good for that price!

Even when the fee went to $30 I only got paid $5 for a closed store.

And some were paid $1 and some not at all... from what I've read there is no consistency.
Thanks. Sad it doesn't even seem worth walking two blocks for what I might expect to be paid if everything went perfectly. And possibly not even get paid. I think I'll pass on this one.
Is it possible that the "Your Presto Insta-Shop has been accepted!" email really does mean that someone looked at it and it was fully accepted? I got two of them within five minutes of submitting. I figured it was just automated but submitted my Walmart shop a couple of hours ago and haven't gotten the accepted email yet and it was trivial.
Something very strange just happened... all of the available shops disappeared! There were plenty in my area. Maybe they pulled them temporarily? Very strange. Now I'm not sure what to do about the bagel place I still have assigned but wasn't planning to complete since I didn't see a menu item for the half dozen I wanted to buy. Did anyone else see this? No way did someone take all of the remaining shops in my area.

BTW, it appears that they were only released in certain states. I am in NY and had them but looked for some in CT and there weren't any

They have done this every since they started these shops.

I noticed they all disappeared too - just when I was ready to do a nail salon shop they had bonused! Maybe it will come back with a bigger bonus.

Done what? Pulled them? I could see doing it after a few weeks, but this round only started on Monday. Maybe they only needed to have a few done?

Meanwhile, they rejected my Walmart shop. Oddly, it came a few minutes after I got an accepted email for it. Naturally I have appealed it. Of the three that I did, this was the only one where I didn't go out of pocket for something that I didn't need and can easily return, so not a big deal. After this, I think I'll let the bagel shop expire off my list without completing it.

Update -- got a quick response from the editing manager who said that they will be paying me for the Walmart shop, they were trying to delete it since it was not a small business. I asked her about the bagel store and she confirmed they would not pay me for the half dozen bagels if there's no price listed. She had no idea why the rest of the shops were pulled.

@MisterBill I grabbed seven in NYC yesterday after noting here that the timeframe had been moved up to 48 hours. Today nearly every single one is gone, so I'm guessing maybe they pulled them to see how the initial round goes?

I did two yesterday and both were accepted very quickly. I like that the instructions have been streamlined with the suggestion to order both at once and ask for separate receipts. At one food counter, I said I needed a separate receipt because one was for my boss and she wanted me to pay in cash. At the other store I bought one item, then faked a phone call as I was "leaving" and said my husband wanted one too.

Today's shops are proving more difficult. One was at a delie where I ordered two identical sandwiches and used the "paying separately for my boss." However - the receipts don't show the payment at all. A receipt was generated when the order was prepared (with tax itemized as well) and I paid at the counter, but this same slip was returned to me. When I asked for a receipt, that was all they could give me. I've submitted a screenshot of my bank statement showing the VISA transaction but not sure what will happen.

Today's second shop was at a small newsstand located in the office building where I work. It was tiny and empty and very awkward. I bought my yogurt with debit -- there was a handwritten sign taped to the counter but I couldn't get a pic because I would have had to hold my phone horizontally over that spot and the cashier was watching me. I decided I will go back later to make the cash purchase and try to get the photo then. I hope that will be accepted. Have a few more to do when I go out for lunch... At least I'm well fed this week!

Yes, since they started these they have been like blinking dots on the job board. I have no clue why. sometimes locations would be there an hour, sometimes a day, sometimes weeks.... but the randomness has been going on forever.

I should have taken a couple more late yesterday to do tomorrow, but I never expected that they'd be gone today. Maybe they pulled them to cleanse the shops, given that they had a "small business" shop listed for Walmart.
The shops came back this morning.

They are back in my area but there are some that appear to be office locations or odd names. I'm steering clear. I have seen a bunch of take-out places but looking at menus, there appears to be very little that is less than $8. I'm going to pass by later and if they sell bottled snapple or similar I'll take the job on the fly because I could use the pay.

Most of the ones I did on round 1 have been accepted (waiting on one more) despite some little glitches. I noticed the "accepted" emails have a disclaimer that the status could change upon further review though... That happened to me once where I had already been paid and was told I could keep the pay anyway.
@CorrieCJ wrote:

... and they're gone again. So much for picking up a few on the fly today!!!
Not only are they gone, but they removed the shop I had assigned, and I don't see an email telling me that they did it.
Well, all i have in my area are a bail bondsman and a window tint shop. That's a damn shame.

I got paid nothing for a store that was closed because a car had driven through their front windows making them temporarily closed for months. It took me a long time to investigate with nearby stores to find out the reason it was closed. After getting zip for my effort I never did another one of these again. I should have been forewarned when I saw a small bonus here in no bonus land.
@MisterBill wrote:

The shops are still gone, but I got paid for those I did earlier in the week.

Same here, approval and payment were quick but can we bring them back now? There were so many!!
I got paid yesterday for the batch I did Monday and Tuesday. All of them were paid despite glitches I had at a few. I had been emailing a contact at IPSOS about an issue I had for one of them, and in our back-and-forth I asked if the shops would be back. She said that once a certain amount of shops had been selected, they pull the rest, but they will be back up as more shops get completed/edited. I guess the editors can only handle so many at once.

I had a Presto tab open from yesterday and when I peeked this morning they were all there - and then the map suddenly refreshed and they were gone. So I guess it's worth checking often.

I got the same response when I asked. But leaving them up there for literally minutes at a time, barely gives me a minute to look. I can't be refreshing all day long on the edge of my seat. I know which ones I wanted but I can't even see them now. Horrible system.
I have found that once you click on a location, then click on the apply button for the full info, then go back to the map, the location will no longer be there. But it will be in your list of incomplete shops. If you still want it, open it from your list and check all the agreements to accept. If you don’t it will just fall away after three minutes or so.
They are back now, but there is only 24 hour lead time this time. I have a crazy day and can't grab any sad smiley
