well, if that's a new round it's very skimpy. maybe they'll add more soon? There are exactly 2 in my part of the state, and one of them is a bar. Cross my fingers and hope for more soon..

MsJudi,
It sounds to me that this was a place that failed the first shop, where the app didn't pay the shopper.
Then he got the feedback from the first rejected shop and was upset because he was being shopped again.
I have no proof, but it was something other than you ordering a sandwich that set him off.
He's comfortable with his regulars who don't need a legible menu. He has nothing to gain by updating his menu board.
Do you really think mom and pop places with a loyal following are going to sweat loosing their credit/debit card capabilities?
I am getting my car fixed. He told me he needed to charge me 2% more if I used a credit card. Another vendor was cash only. And I was okay paying $45 cash for services rendered.

speaking of bars.... it the only thing under $8.00 is a draft beer, can we purchase those/...or is alcohol not allowed? ( I wrote Ipsos two emails regarding this last week, and....you guessed it! "...crickets..."

Latest on the Visa card program...today, I kid you not, an Ipsos "lead editor" for this program wrote me asking for a FULL photo of my Visa debit card (all numbers, expiration date, etc.). And, if I didn't provide it, I was not going to get paid. Does that smell like SCAM, or what?!!! I already have HUGE concers about taking a photo of even part of my card, so why would I do this?????? Ipsos is out of control...Jackbooted stormtroopers on the loose!

@MsJudi that is very gutsy to tell the guy to write the prices on the board. Didn't they have a printed menu with current prices? It seems at some point you should've asked for prices so you could figure out how to max the reimbursement. If you asked him for a few prices without being obnoxious, it might've dawned on him to update the sandwich board. Not knowing either one of you, I agree with the sandwich nazi. You can't tell him what to do or how to run his business, but you can ask for prices.
I don't understand why you would try to max the reimbursement on something you don't want to consume? If I was doing this shop and they were selling turkey sandwiches which I enjoy for $1 and a cauliflower and mushroom sandwich for $7 which I hate, I would buy the two turkey sandwiches.
The prices were handwritten on the menuboard..Some were there and most were not. There was no printed menu. I was not being obnoxious. Haha..their website stated to check their menuboard for current prices...so that's what I was attempting to do. The turkey sandwich was not priced, hence I didn't think I could buy it. I was hoping the other purchased sandwiches would be good, but they were just ok..not my thing. Thanks for the support..LOL

I'd love to see the proof of this. Send it directly to me, where the editor asked for the FULL card number. This is absolutely not something we do.
only mystery shoppers and do you honestly believe that the clueless kids of today running the register even notice. And it really pains me to say we've raised a generation of idiots.@Momomomo wrote:
@sestrahelena I am sure they don't know. They are probably wary because they are not used to getting attractive looking customers like yourself and figure it must be a set up.
Let's face it, it isn't natural to ask for an itemized receipt on both purchases that are back to back and identical like that. That action alone has to trigger some level of Spidey sense.
When I do a gas station shop and ask for a receipt for the 69¢ peanuts, they are like seriously? And you want a receipt for the $2 of fuel you pumped? You aren't even on a motorcycle, why would you only pump two dollars worth of gas. Who does that?
Once they know who it was sent from, I'm sure that they'll be able to figure out who it went to from their end.@panama18 wrote:
You could just blot out the personal details so you can't be ID'd and cut and paste the email here.
Thanks for posting this. They had a Cold Stone location near me so I took it. It appears that the shops do not start until Monday, 5/13 and it says that I have until 5/15 8am to submit it, so I have two days to complete it, not 12 hours after I accept to submit it like they usually do. Also took a local bagel place, I can get a half dozen in two separate orders.@bradkcrew wrote:
They are back for another round! Looks like there are just a few minor changes. Salons require both purchases again, and the reimbursement is back down to $8. You are allowed to purchase gift cards for the salons only. As if anyone would ever buy an $8 salon gift card, nonetheless two back to back with different forms of payment. Pass.
