Presto Visa DEBIT card shops

I had a bit of a scare today on a shop. I went to a bagel place and ordered a menu item that had bagel, egg, cheese and meat but without the meat. They rang it up as an entirely different item at a lower price, and most importantly, that item was not on the menu. Fortunately, the shop was accepted.

The shops are back. I just got four more, including two closed locations (which sadly only pay $5 but I'll be nearby).

And just like that, they're gone.

I didn't catch them, but thanks for posting as I was wondering if they were gone for the month. I will keep an eye out.

Maybe look around midnight, that's when I did. I'm at the point now where I've taken most of the shops I actually want to do, although I did stop at a fancy Italian gourmet deli today, and they have $8 containers of gelato, so that's next on my list. Most of the stuff they sell is by the pound, and the sandwiches are $18, so I've avoided taking the shop. But they gave me a taste of the gelato and it was quite tasty.
I haven't seen them come back, so I guess they're done for the month. Did very well this month, got some nice dinners, breakfasts and desserts out of it.
Maybe it's a yearly thing? Maybe the client accumulates complaints about charges until they've got a good batch of them to hand over to the MSC?
So who do I write to about a payment issue, mystery.shopping@ipsos.com? I was underpaid for one shop, I replied to the shop accepted email and got a reply saying you can't reply to it. So I opened a ticket on Presto, and got a response back saying that it was just for tech support, they could not help with payment issues, and to contact the address in the shop guidelines. Except I don't have the guidelines anymore since it was all done on my phone and I don't have the shops anymore. Payment comes from Liveshopper which is the Sassie company. Previous batches of shops have shown up on the IPSOS Sassie site, but these did not.
@MisterBill I just got help on a payment issue from Kimberly.Reuben@ipsos.com. Give her a try. It was kind of an odd procedure but it worked very quickly and my corrected payment was approved right away.

In May they listed a bunch of shops, then pulled them after a short time, then listed them again for literally a couple of minutes a few more times within the next couple of days. Then June, crickets. July 1st they listed the exact same shops that were left over, and played the same game. Must be they are interested in getting a number of shops done, rather than focusing on specific businesses.

There are many shops that get pulled after a certain number get taken. I think it's a combination of your two pieces. It's not like they're sending you anywhere you want, so they have specific businesses they want done. Maybe they're only paying for a certain number of shops, and post more than that so they don't have to start adding bonuses to get all of them filled.

It wouldn't be as big a deal for this shop if not for the short time frame, since there are shops that you want to do but can't get to all of them in two days. But then they've all disappeared when you're ready to take them.

I heard back from them (I emailed their generic mysteryshopping address) and was given these instructions

Click filter and enter the code 38efgn. Make sure all other filters are removed
Click the magnifying glass and enter the city Parsippany
One pin will appear that can be clicked. Enter the info about missing compensation and submit.

Yes, that's how I did it as well. Was not sure if those instructions applied to all shops or if there were different ones for different batches. Fingers crossed we get paid!

Mine was approved the same day, and I was paid today.

What happened was that somehow, one of the reimbursement amounts was the tax rather than the total. I'm not sure if it was their error or mine, although if mine, the editor is supposed to fix stuff like that, and it's possible that they're the ones who fill in the reimbursement field.

I see some!
Yeah, but not many and they only give you 24 hours to submit.

Also, there are some Uber Eats shops where you order alcohol but in most of the scenarios you're not supposed to show them your ID so you can't get it delivered. Not sure why anyone would do a shop like that for $5.
and *poof* they're gone again.. I wish they would either post them or not, I'm tired of playing.

There didn't seem to be very many this time. And only available to submit for 24 hours. Fortunately (for me) there wasn't anything I was interested in this time, anyway.

Bill, I was interested in a few of them, but there was only 12 hours on the clock, so I couldn't claim any of them when I saw them.
There weren't very many at all in my area this time, and they were different from last month's leftovers. I took the only two that were close. Everything was the same as before, except they added a couple of new questions. 1. What is the exact business name on the store/sign 2. What is the exact name of the business on the receipt 3. What is the exact business name on Google

Hmm...

1. You have my storefront pic 2. You have my receipt 3. You can Google

I would NEVER do a nail salon. Can you imagine? What do they even have to sell?
Gift cards. I bought two $15 gift cards (minimum they'd let me buy/charge) at one that my wife uses. With the fee I got $30 so it was totally covered. She can use them to pay for most of a mani-pedi.

They might sell nail polish as another options.

Presto! can be a 10-ft pole + >$2 or cash out of hand + totally unnatural consumer behavior required for the evaluation = 100-ft pole

Have synthesizers, will travel...
Before, at least on the laptop, you could use the filter function to see only, "Small business" and move the map around the country to find them but now they are listed by the different store names so you can't.

I had to search on $14 to find them this past round.

To each their own. No one seemed to think that it was weird that I was making two separate purchases for the same item. Or if they did, they didn't care since I was still buying stuff.
I got both of these trypes of reactions when I did these shops...often they didn't care; often they gave me a very weird look!

To be honest, insisting on a receipt was stranger to them than the two transactions, even at the nail salon.
