Bad experience with Coyle
MADETOSHOP inquired of me, 11 days ago, if I had ever completed an assignment for Coyle. As I have zero interest in that company, I have not followed this thread. My answer is NO.
16 1/2 yrs. ago, I decided, after at least two hrs. on a report, that fine dining was not for me. A few mos. later, I formulated the plan that turned my failure as a shopper into success. That is why I am not negatively critical of Coyle. Their work simply does not fit into any of the three conditions I established for me to be SHOPPERBOB.
A quick closing point: Any person who, being aware a rejection has the ability to render them at a substantial loss into four figures, should cautiously apply for these jobs. As I am a proponent of adages, the one that fits this situation deals with the man being bitten by the recovering snake. He asked why? The reptile replied, "You knew what I was when you picked me up.

Though @shopperbob and I have chosen different paths for the type of work we do, I always have respect for his logic and his ability to make MSing profitable.
Regarding the adage; I have been handling that snake for over 20 years and while I know it may eventually bite me, we have formed a symbiotic relationship where it refrains from biting me, even though it can be nasty to others. I still handle it with caution...but I am a sucker for a "free" meal.

wow, they really do that? take your report, don't pay you for it and write in their own info and send it to the client? if true, the client should find out.
