Marketforce Bidding

I've done this in the past, and usually had the bid accepted. If it wasn't accepted I just moved on and assumed they'd given it to someone else. I went in yesterday and put a bid in for a job I've bid on before at that price and had accepted multiple times. Didn't get it, but didn't think anything of it. But I went to scan the board this morning, and the exact job is still there, and they're running out of time. So, I thought, well, I'll sort of be in the area, I'll put my bid back in. It says my new bid has to be at least $3 lower than my previous bid. Um......no. I mean, I suppose they are hoping someone new will grab it, but, they've obviously declined anyone else's bid already and are forcing them to lower any new ones by $3, so....(I won't bid lower, ftr. I have different "accept" points, even for the same client, depending on time, location, and what I'm already doing that day). I also wonder if they keep a list of who has done these shops in the past, because you'd think they'd want to reward good evaluators who have consistently done good work and not flaked, but....

In over 20 years of mystery shopping, I have concluded that there is a disconnect betweeen shedulers and shoppers. The previous wants the job done CHEAPEST, the latter hopes past good scores and surveys will elicit better assigments. I have not found the latter to be the case.

Yep, similar here. I will not. Ever. Bid lower in a rising rate environment. On average, the cost of goods and services are 120% where they were just prior to the pandemic. If anything, I should bid 20% higher.
Yes I’ve noticed this. So now I bid $3 more than what I normally would have bid lol
Do they call you? If so, call one of the numbers back and see if you can make your offer over the phone. I have done that smiling smiley
