But, your first clue would have been their "Pilot" shops they ran last August 2023.
Currently, the Blue and Yellow gas stations are on the magic platform. I'm under the impression that the rest of the MSC's gas stations shall eventually move to it as well.
Having done many of the last year "Pilot" shops and now, a month's worth of this years shops on that platform, I'm concluding that it appears the shops are being edited by AI with an overseer human only interacting with a shopper when, or if a question or problem area found by that same AI arises.
It also makes me come to the conclusion that the MSC is eliminating the need for schedulers and editors. Even the newer Shopper Guidelines seem to have been written by either AI or someone without any knowledge of performing a shop.
The benefit for shoppers is that they get paid in a more timely manner, albeit less pay and in my area, no bonused shops - yet.
This would lead me to believe that quite obviously, their (the MSC's) business reasons were all about saving money (or making money, that is).
That's what businesses do, make as much money as they can, by saving money in areas they deem unnecessary.

All shops are edited by real people. There are no AI bots doing the shops. Secondly, all banning is done by the program managers. Shoppers get banned for several reasons, but mainly the big one is shopping under different aliases. The other big reason could be not following the shop guidelines over and over or submitting falsified information such as duplicate photos that were not taken at the time of the audit.

This could also mean less chance of being banned. I do believe some banning is done by a person in charge who needs to feel important.
