1099s

Anyone know when we should receive 1099s? I should get one from Marketforce and one from ISPOS

I got notice that if you are paid by paypal, the company paying is no longer required to send you a 1099 Misc since you will get a 1099 K from paypal (which is likely already available in your account under tax documents.

I get this message from PayPal on tax documents "Your account is not eligible for any tax documents for this year". I'm in Calif. So I will not be getting any 1099's from some companies? If no one sends me a 1099, how does the IRS know how much I made from each company?

John, mine says the same thing and I know dang well I should get 1099's, without question. Now, I am confused. Why would the company not send them out? They have ever since I've been with them for many years.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I found this:

Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, and other PSEs are required to report all transactions on a 1099-K and send it to the Payee. The 1099-K filing requirement threshold is when transactions total $20,000 or more.

Comment: If your business makes payments to a vendor using these apps and the amount exceeds $600 in a calendar year then you do not need to file a 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC. Instead, these payments will be included in the 1099-K issued by these PSEs directly to such recipient vendors.
My understanding of this was once PayPal is required to send out 1099-K, the other companies should no longer send you a form because otherwise the income would get double reported. This was delayed again until next year. I noticed today that I hadn't got the form from IPSOS, but mine sometimes doesn't show up until the first few days of February for whatever reason.

Got notice from a mystery shopping company, or somewhere else?
I got a 1099-NEC form in the mail today from Intellishop, who sends my payments to Paypal.
I got a 1099 NEC from Paypal, and another from Presto, that pays me through Paypal. In the past, I have always gotten a 1099 Misc from Ipsos, 2 of them, one for Sassie and the other for Shopmetrics. I probably will this year too, they just haven't shown up yet, they are usually late.

I haven't gotten anything from CX Group yet, and they don't pay through PayPal, so I expect that in the next few days, I looked on the website, I couldn't find anything that could be printed out. I didn't do enough work for any other MSC's last year to expect a 1099 from them, so I'll have to go and look at their websites and find how much I earned and compare it to my records. My son got his 1099 from Intellishop today, but he didn't bring it in here to put with the other tax stuff. I believe I'm going to be spending some time on the phone with the IRS to sort this out this year.
For CX Group/Dashboard, scroll down almost to the bottom of the page. 1099s are available there.

It says 1099 report. It's not a downloadable or printable 1099 form, it's just a list of payments, not including reimbursements for a total that would be included on a 1099. And I don't have to scroll down to get to the report center, it shows on my regular screen, and there is nothing below it except the names of the businesses that make up the group and copywrites.
Just as a reminder for any 1099s that are mailed: legally, they have to be *in the mail* by January 31st, not *received* by January 31st. This is why some don't arrive until February.

I've received mailed 1099s from Customer Impact and IntelliShop.

In the statements and taxes/Tax documents section of PayPal, there are three years available - 2021, 2022, and 2023. Each one of them says, "Less paperwork for you. You don’t have any tax document on PayPal yet." To my knowledge, I've never received any kind of tax documents (digital or paper) via PayPal.

If it helps, I'm in Texas, not one of the handful of states that have been previously discussed as exceptions to the reporting thresholds. Companies that pay me via PayPal include Ipsos, Pinnacle, IntelliShop, Confero, The Consumer Insight, and others.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
I have not received a 1099NEC from Ipsos, and I definitely made enough where they should've filed one on me. This is also an issue with other gig companies. To cover my @ss I always order my Wage & Income Transcripts from the IRS when they post in June so that I can amend my tax return if there are 1099s that I didn't receive.

Right. I think we're on the same page. I expect CX G's and other 1099s to start rolling in this week and next. I use the payment info on their website to do trial runs on my 1040 a couple of times a year, making adjustments along the way if needed.
