Concerned Mintel Newbie

Hello All - On the recommendation of a fellow-shopper on this forum, I have recently signed up with Mintel. However looking over the comments for this specific company, I don't think it's very reputable or reliable. Does anyone on here have good experiences with them ? Thanks. [shopper.mintel.com]

I agree with all prior posters; Mintel is first rate with an excellent work:pay ratio.

Edited to add Curinos, formerly known as Informa. As with Mintel, they are recipients of the Shopper Bob "3 Thumbs Up" rating.

There is one thread here where someone is @#$%& about Mintel. I'm pretty sure that is the only thread you will ever find.

Personally, love them. Wish their credit card client would come back. LOVED going to the trade shows at McCormick Place to do those.

@ barbage - I'm brand to to Mintel. I only just signed up. Got a bit worried after reading some negative comments, especially since I had just input my bank info. Reassuringly though, there are enough people on here commenting positively on this thread.

They are an EXTREMELY large company out of the UK with an amazing reputation for what they do. And they do lots of work beyond just mystery shopping too.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.

I didn't realize they were based out of the UK. I have walked by their offices in Chicago many times.

They started in the UK and opened their Chicago office later (1998). I spoke to someone from their London office on the phone once.

Mintel is a top-notch and reputable company. I (as well as other shoppers) had many negative interactions with ONE scheduler but she, not Mintel, was the problem. She is no longer with Mintel and I am very happy with the company again.

Well their assignments are truly non existent in my opinion. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
