JM Ridgeway

This is by far, the most unprofessional, corrupt, and unorganized company I’ve ever worked for. Which sucks because I love doing apartment shops. I did a bunch of shops last summer and was updating my spreadsheet for the end of the year and realized I never got paid for three jobs. I reached out to Frank, who was so rude and unhelpful, I asked for a manager. He claimed to be a manager and there was nobody else to talk to. I told him that I was supposed to be paid within five days via their “rapid pay.” It was clearly in my notes that I would be paid within five days. After going back and forth at least 10 times, he finally paid me for three out of the 10 shops I did. Of course, he didn’t label any of them so I had no idea what he paid me for and when I asked he basically ignored me. Then I reached out to my scheduler, Nikki, who was just as rude. To make a long story short, I plan on reaching out all over the CyberWorld to find out how I can put a legitimate complaint in about this company. I don’t know if sassie realizes that they employ corrupt people. After much research, I found login information and when I tried to, I realize that they had completely removed me from their system. I guess that’s what happens when you complain. I wonder how many other people have never been paid for their jobs?

There are similar complaints on here. I had nothing but pleasant experiences with them. Best of luck!
Many people have had issues with Nikki your scheduler.

She actually deactivated several of my accounts, JM Ridgeway included, because of issues I've had with her on RBG shops.

That's because she schedules for multiple companies.
What was his reason for not paying for the other 7 shops? You completed the reports, the reports were reviewed and sent to the client, correct? No problems until you wanted to be paid? It just doesn't make sense.

I'm sorry. There are many other companies that are not like that. You just have to keep trying.
Frank and Nikki are legendary in their own way. I've never had trouble with Ridgway but that's probably because I've only shopped for them 3 times.
I actually never had a problem with JM Ridgway and I've done probably 25 shops for them.

It's Nikki I've had tons of problems with.
I only completed four shops for this MSC; all over 16 yrs. ago. Upon learning, this morning, that Nikki Atkins was associated with Ridgeway, I permanently deleted my account.
For what it's worth, I did around 20 jobs with JM this year, and didn't have any problems. I didn't correspond with Nikki a lot, but I had no problems when I did, and she extended a due date for me once, with no issue.

I'm not discounting the reports of others, just providing my experience.
I know that people have had problems with this MSC. I have not done lots of shops for them, but I personally have not had any issues.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Im sorry that has happened! I have never had any issues either! Ugh! I hope that I do not.
I’m honestly shocked that JMR survived the pandemic and lockdown. Crappy company, 0/10 would not recommend.
I am confused as to how many shops are still unpaid.

"I never got paid for three jobs."

"After going back and forth at least 10 times, he finally paid me for three out of the 10 shops I did."

Are you saying you did 10 shops total and JM Ridgway only paid you for 7 shops until you complained, or are you saying you still have not been paid for 7 shops?

IMO, Nikki is simply bad news but Frank is different. I think Frank often assumes the shopper is at fault and his communication style is so blunt that it is often abrasive. I also think that, once you have shopped a long time for JM Ridgway and built up trust, he stops assuming you are wrong, listens more, and is much more civil. I don't think JM Ridgway or Frank is corrupt at all. Is the company unprofessional or unorganized? Often.

As for the company's "rapid pay" shops, my experience has been that shoppers are often required to contact Frank after submitting the reports to request rapid pay. It's a bother but that requirement is usually publicized in the shop postings.

100% agree.
And the OP needs to realize REALLY quickly that Sassie is just a platform & doesn't employ ANYONE at ANY mystery shopping company. And filing a complaint?! With who?? You're not a w-2 employee, you own your own business. It's up to you to collect or write off the bad debt.

The OP has only posted 2 messages. Both are about JM Ridgeway, If the OP was so upset last March, why did they do more shops? Very odd, bordering on suspicious.

They have much less shops than before around my area. They use to have a local coffee chain but no more.

I didn't read the other thread completely, but skimming it, I think it's the same problem that was never resolved.

I probably would have bumped the old thread if it wasn't locked just to inform other shoppers of a possible issue.

I can also understand the original poster's frustration with not being able to resolve the issue. They also don't really have anyplace to turn to in order to get satisfaction.
Her first post was in March. Her current post said she did a bunch of shops "last summer." The times don't match.
Hello, i did a project for them last march 13, I have not received any feedback and pay. I tried to contact nikki twice but no response. How long does it usually take for them to review and get paid? So far this the worst MSC that i have dealt so far.
Stop contacting Nikki. Contact Frank instead with all the relevant information, including letting him know that Nikki did not respond to your previous inquiries. Please note though Frank is leaving for a mini-vacation today. I don't know when he will be back.

His email is: frank.k [AT] jmridgway.com.

On the shops I do for them, it often takes 1-2 months to receive payment.

As in 2022?!?!?!

Or as in two weeks ago?
