I didnt realize that it didnt exist but they made it soooo obvious that they weren't legit thank you i'm glad I realized it to lol cant afford to be 2 thousand in the hole with my bank

Legitimate mystery shopping companies do NOT pay you BEFORE you have done the work, so that is clue #1 to a scam.
Legitimate mystery shopping companies mostly have on line websites for you to register and request work. (Not all, but close enough to all for you to ignore any email suggesting you just send them your information by email.)

I am sure that is true I knew it was a scam to start with I took it to my bank they did a fraud alert no harm done to me

I'm so glad for you that you didn't get taken by the scam!
FYI, Shop 'N Check are alive and well. I have 10 assignments scheduled with them this week. They were bought by MF a few years ago but continue to shop under their own name and send out their own cheques. They pay on time, can easily be reached by phone (they supply a phone number on all their CPIs as opposed to MF where you need to hunt down the phone number) and have great evaluations.
In your case, some scammer used the SNC name to try to make themselves seem legitimate, as they have done using other well-known MSC names. Good on you for being on the ball!

Thats fascinating MtlShopper. That may be something unique to Canadian jobs. My CPIs here in the US only show a fax number to fax in receipts and a PO Box to mail them. There is no reference at all to Shop 'N Chek on the CPI or on the website. I know it is one-and-same since I'm still using my old SNC bookmark to get to the login page.
You may be right Flash ~ it might be a Canadian thing. I just looked at my CPIs. The link to contact them is helpdesk@shopncheck.ca. The CPIs also have 1-866 phone and fax numbers on them. The cheques they send are drawn on a Canadian bank in Canadian funds. MF sends me cheques drawn on a US bank in US funds, after they've done their mystical math to convert my reimbursement owed. Same company?
It may be similar to what they are apparently doing with Tell Us About Us, namely that TUAU will still stand but perhaps be scheduled from elsewhere. It would make sense to leave an entity in Canada to receive and pay funds for Canadian jobs from Canada with no need to go through currency exchanges. I would not know about the MF/SNC checks here since it is all done by direct deposit.

I have done a few jobs for the Shop N Check part of MFI in the US and from what I remember the contact info was the same for MFI, but on my bank statement it said the deposit was from Shop N Check. Plus I got paid much faster than MFI pay schedule.

The Canadian Shop n Chek is indeed still around. I emailed Market Force last year and asked if they were the same company, but despite the nearly identical website, they claim to be separate... Here's what they said:

It is funny that about a year ago I sold a scooter on craigslist. A buyer sent me a check for $1000.00 and instructed me to take out the 600.00 for the scooter and send him the rest back Western Union. Of course the check was a fraud. I contacted my local law enforcement and they were of no help. I tried the FBI in that it was a purchase to be across state lines. They were of even less help. I didn't get taken in by the scam but was trying to shut the guy down before someone did get hurt. It does not amount to enough money for agencies to try and stop it. The law enforcement agencies ticked me off more than the crook.

I just googled Shop'NChek and I found Shopnchekshopper. When I went to open it, it took me to Market Force!
