Does anyone shop with Confidential Consumer? Looks like they are now The Jack Network and I just got paid for assignments completed in March through paypal. They took out a fee, I haven't had this happen in the last 3 years doing mystery shopping.
Is anyone else working for this MSC and/or get paid through paypal with a fee removed? First for me.
They just paid me too. They added on a $5 “delay and processing bonus” to the amount due and then I got charged a $5.99 processing fee. This has not happened with them before.

I believe they were bought out by Tidesmart or I guess whatever The Jack Network is. I checked my account and did not see bank draft as an option. I think I'm going to try calling to see if there is another option or not. I don't like that we weren't notified prior about this.
I had this happen too, but even with the fee deduction I netted a dollar more than I was owed. For example, I was owed a reimbursement for $90.00, but they sent payment thru PayPal for $95.00. They took out a 3.75 fee, which left me with 91.25, which is 1.25 more than I was owed, so I am not sweating it. I get the confusion though!
I just looked. The only payment option is PayPal. I didn't see anything about a fee when getting paid, but I am not doubting the experiences mentioned above.

I have heard of PayPal fees specifically regarding transactions from outside the US. This was through my day job contacts, not MS related. Depending on where you are from or where the people you are doing business with are from, PayPal can apparently be an expensive pain.

Did this take place every month or just this past month? The noted in the comment that the payment was late so they added a $5 late fee on their part which did help cover the paypal fee. Normally they pay by the 28th and they paid today.
I just got an email this morning from them announcing the name change from CC to The Jack Network. After seeing the fees they charge for payments, I'm thinking they should be called the JackASS network. They don't announce the name change earlier and they are charging fees to pay YOU for the work you did.
I also got paid a bit late for March shops with a $5 late payment bonus mostly eaten up by the PayPal fee which had not been assessed before. I checked the CC board and all of the prior restaurants except one are no longer listed and the one remaining will not accept shoppers over 55. Hopefully things will settle out and business will continue as before.
Edited to state their normal shops appeared on the board later in the day.

I still have an MSC, probably now defunct, on my list called, "Electrum." Another marketing brainstorm I guess. Sounds too much like rectum. Or maybe I have the brain of a seven year old. Giggle giggle.
