Anyone heard of them? They seem to be one of the few that do food that do more than reimburse but they want you to pay for your training. Now that is also a first for me.
Thanks,
Susie
Long ago there was one company that charged $50 for their training, but their training led to quite plum work that was also very demanding. They were quite selective about who they allowed even to buy their training and the training was not a "profit center" for the company. Most of the companies that are "selling" training or lists or 'preferred shops' or certifications are doing it as a profit center, not as real value for what is purchased. I steer absolutely clear of any company who wants me to jump through hoops or spend money for training specific to their jobs or supposedly 'making you a better shopper', especially when the net result is eligibility for the same old schlock available elsewhere without payment or nonsense.
I am willing to look at anyone's job specific 'training', no matter how foolish or redundant if the end result is eligibility for jobs that actually pay a fair fee for my time and their expectations. But unless I am convinced that there is a really really really better situation available, they won't see a dime from me.
UM!!! That's why I was asking, I have never worked for them. I signed up and when I was looking at their training material which THEY state you have to take there was a price to take them.
I've never had to pay a fee for training, or even taken any training with them either. But they only have one fast food chain that they shop in my area, so it could be a different story elsewhere.
They are located in Dallas and I've shopped for them for a few years. The only thing they have in the Dallas area is a burger chain and an upscale Mexican restaurant. I've never been asked to pay for any training, and find them to be a fine company to do work for.
My idea of an agreeable person is a person who agrees with me.
