Never heard of them. Checked a couple of resources and see nothing even close. Do you have a website? They may be legit but on the other hand you won't want to give them your personal info if they aren't.
their web site is www.quantefi.com I just hate to do a shop for them an spend my money and end up not getting paid for it.
Thanks Crusin2. I looked up the website and information on the website.

First you will note there is no MSPA notation. I don't see that as all bad--some of my better MSPs are not MSPA affiliated (or do not mention the affiliation on their website).

Second, you will note that the website is copyrighted 2008. This can be good, bad or indifferent. But it is an indication that this isn't an old company that "died" years ago and there are just remnants left on the web.

Third, checking the registry of the domain name, it was registered 11/17/07 to an outfit in Tampa Florida. The address and phone number from the registry data match what they have given on the website--a definite plus for legitimacy.

Fourth, checking the phone number, it has been associated with other MSPs last year under the name Confer! Inc. The listing I found for Confer! Inc. is in a catalog of restaurant supplies and services and it is listed right in front of "Confero" as an MSP.

With these things in mind, here is my gut instinct. This is likely to be a small MSP that has been around for perhaps a year under the previous name but renamed itself last November. My guess is that they will be handling mostly shops "On their home turf" in the Tampa area. I would further guess that the name change from Confer! to Quantefi is to get away from being confused with Confero. Like any new-to-you MSP that you have nobody commenting on prior experience, take it slow and see how it goes.

I plan to sign up with them because they are not far from me and may have something interesting in my area. I am willing to gamble my personal information on that. I am also willing to gamble doing a restaurant report for them unless it is an outrageously expensive place where I would regret having left my own money. But I will not do a second report until I have seen payment and response to the first one. Once I have tried them I will try to remember to report it back here.

Edited: Added benefit - they do not ask your social security number at sign up. Statement that if you want to earn more than $600 with them you need to file a separate form, so time for that later if working with them works out.

Thank you so much. You are definitely much more tech savy than
I am. I too will post how this shop goes.
The only tools used were going to whois.net to look up the user information for the domain name quantefi.com and following it through to the GoDaddy website and also using Google to look up the phone number and exploring where that took me. Both tools are pretty useful if you want to stay safe on the net--know who you are talking to. And the bonus is that in the process of the Google phone number look up I found 2 other legitimate restaurant shopping MSPs to sign up with smiling smiley
