I am with you huskie9!

And yes, computer_man - you are correct - they are SLOW too!
I agree - Freeman, IntelliShop & Goodman are all slow.
Reality Check is also very slow. Maritz can be slow.

Intellishop is ok. They may be slow at times, but their trustful.
Intellishop always pays so you dont have to worry about this; however, it usually takes over 2 months.
Itellishop pays, don't worry, never had a pymt. problem with them, ever.

Live consciously....
Still waiting on my 01/07/11 payment from Intellishop. Got good feed back from them, but no payment yet.

I can't speak on Freeman or Goodman...I've never shopped for them...I'm not even familiar with Goodman. Intellishop does pay slower than some, but they do pay within the time frame that they state. However, I can speak about Maritz and I take exception about your comments concerning them. I've done hundreds of shops for Maritz, they pay every two weeks, and I've never had an issue with them slow paying. I hope your comments about Maritz does not deter anyone from shopping with them.

My idea of an agreeable person is a person who agrees with me.

Yep, Maritz is always right on time. I'm waiting on 3 January shops, but that was my fault for not invoicing in time & having to mail them in.

I also agree that Maritz pays faster than most of the others. I have done over 40 shops for them and the average number of days it has taken to get paid is 30.

Yeah, I am less than impressed that they are going to hit the 60+ day mark just as Intelli does. The bank shops they do don't pay enough for me to wait that long, KWIM?

Yesssssssss! The bank shops only pay $10, $12, or $15 for Chase. I usually hold out for the $10 bonuses.
The thing with the bank shops is that there is no purchase so even if you have to wait 60 days (my average wait is 57 days) you are not out any money. Also, although they do not pay that much I feel that their reports are easy and don't take too long to complete. Also, I am usually out of the bank in 10-15 minutes. I would rather do two of the $12.00 ath bank shops then one intellishop $20 or $25 automobile shop.
I hear you and completely agree. Some shops with a lower fee have proportionately less time on site and in report. Others even have a disproportionately lower amount of time involved. That's a good thing smiling smiley Overall, I would much rather do more of the less-time in report shops. When I'm faced with a narrative requiring 2-3 hours, I fret, stew, and re-write til the cows come home. My per hour take home is definitely higher on the keep it simple stupid reports.
Amen, Mert. I thought that I was the only Margaret Mitchell reincarnation!

Your description has me laughing! Thank you.

Bank shops aren't worth the time in the bank, and than doing the report.

Intelli-Shop is NOT SLOW PAYING. They pay when they state they are going to pay. SLOW paying is not paying per their guidelines.....good gosh!
I agree with the others who posted Goodwin, Intellishop and Freeman. Prepare to wait 3 months for Intellishop. With Goodwin and Freeman, be prepared to wait 5-7 months making multiple phone calls and emails to them to get paid. I stopped working for Freeman and decided Goodwin is off my list too. I am too busy to have to spend my time chasing down payment from these companies.
That is one possible definition, norcalcop. By the same definition, then, Freeman is not slow paying if they pay within the 8 to 12 weeks they are currently stating and a company that does not state when they pay can never be slow paying.

My personal criteria for slow paying is the guys that make me keep going back to my shop sheet to see who STILL hasn't paid, even when they are within their scheduled guidelines. When I see that the sheet is held open for Intellishop, ath, Sevice Sleuth, or Service With Style, to me they are slow paying.

Companies that are outside of their payment window are just in default as far as I am concerned and I won't work with them until they clean up their act.

And I agree completely with your statement of paying outside their payment window.

Freeman Group's new President sent out an email professing that payments would now be made within two months. That new way lasted about one month until they went back to their old ways.

I understood that payments would take up to 3 months, but when one has to wait for 5 and half months, than I get a little worried.
The metaphor about 'turning a boat around' comes into play on situations like this. Obviously a quick infusion of cash can get the old bills settled up, but ongoing bills either need cost cutting, tightening payment terms for clients or continuing infusions of cash. I don't doubt that there are good intentions, but structural changes are needed for a real turn around. And of course the underlying problem for them is that shoppers are not willing to work for nothing or for payment at some future undetermined time that needs frequent follow up and frustration. Without shoppers they have no observations for their clients, whether their clients are paying in a timely fashion or not.
I'm still waiting on payments from Check Up Marketing done on 01/25/11 and 01/27/11. Any feed back on how and when they pay.

Just how long does it take for these folks to pay. I am waiting for pay from November??
There are obviously issues with Franchise Compliance. When we tried a while back to find working phone numbers for them there was no success. All published number and numbers from emails we tried were disconnected. I receive emails from them relatively frequently for jobs and noted back last October they were soliciting for new schedulers for FC, not just shoppers. And of course emails regarding work have no phone number to contact even the scheduler. I wish you the best on getting paid, but these guys seem to be playing 'hide and seek' to avoid paying their bills and I suspect that is why they needed new schedulers as well.
