Wow! Apparently this test is required if you are not from an English speaking country. I just completed the test for the fun of it. I found a few of the questions a bit ambiguous even for me. I can’t imagine how difficult it could be for someone who doesn’t speak English as a first language. I did get 91% which they said was passing. I’m sorry I can’t give you any specific help as there are so many questions.
Sort of like giving the Citizenship test (required of all immigrants who wish to become US citizens) to all the members of Congress. The vast majority couldn't answer half the questions.

Wolverine, you say you have checked the test many times and keep getting 82%. If you are allowed to take the test over and over I would suggest you keep track of all the answers you gave, perhaps by writing them down. The next time you take the test look at the ones you feel unsure about and change just one answer in the entire test. Then you will be able to see if that was the question you got wrong by seeing if your score changed.

My fiancee is a Professor of Spanish (she is a native speaker of English and does not have a Hispanic background) and she also trains teachers who have non-native-English speaking students. This is commonly referred to as ESL - English as a Second Language. Her reaction is to encourage the OP by noting that it takes a great deal of effort to achieve mastery of a second language. We do not expect people who post messages on this Forum to write as formally as is required by mystery shopping companies for report submission, but the OP's message has incorrect verb tenses and issues with direct and indirect objects. I am not saying this to criticize the OP (I seriously doubt that I would pass a similar test in Spanish despite studying Spanish through Spanish 5), but to encourage the OP to keep trying. Bare is not the only mystery shopping company. I suggest shopping for other companies which do not require an English test and pay attention to any comments provided by editors of your reports.

You are only allowed to take the test twice. Many questions are simple grammar but some of them are difficult to answer, even for someone who speaks English as their first language. I challenge anyone here to take this test and get 100%. Go to the testing center on the Bare Sassie site and give it a try. I could only get 91%.
I just looked in Sassie. It states that it is only for shoppers outside of the US and Canada, and that a score of 100% is required to pass. So how was 91% a passing score?

I was able to take it even though I am in the US. I think the 100% required to pass is in error. The other language tests require 85%.
I took it just now and got a 100%. But, I was an English major in college and also have been an editor for two different MSCs. Additionally, when obtaining my HIT degree, I had to take Business English. I didn't find it difficult or challenging, but I could see how it might be for someone who doesn't speak English as their native tongue.
Congratulations! I may have missed a question about the video. I don’t remember him saying whether they received any financial aid from the European Union or other source. I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention. I thought some other questions were a bit tricky like “way of life” or “custom of life”.
Here’s another challenge. Try taking one of the other language tests. I doubt I could pass with my college French.
The answer was "way of life", not "custom". I just stated the sentences in my head and whatever seemed the most natural was what I chose. And as far as the video goes, they received financial aid from all but the US.
I know I couldn't pass any of the other ones, LOL. I took French in high school, but only for 1 year. I would like to do a Rosetta Stone course for Spanish, though, since I go to Mexico frequently and Spain is on my bucket list.

I took french in high school for several years and was expected to be the family translator in french speaking countries but the most I could understand was good morning and short phrases like that. My husband, who studied Spanish in school, did much better when he had to be the translator in Spanish speaking countries.
My brother has a PHD from the Sorbonne, was a french professor here in the US for many years, is married to a French women and has a house in France where he spends considerable time every year...probably 4 months. After speaking French for over 50 years he tells me he still is lost in a conversation with idioms and jokes.
I will try the English test but if I do not pass will Bare fire me? lol
Edited to say that was a very comprehensive and difficult test. I got a 96 and they claimed I passed. There were one or two where there were two answers that seemed like they could be correct. I gather I guessed wrong on one of them.

Seacesmith thank you very much for this answer. I Think about it anndi I should try it, but the sassie has a limit of approaches that you should Take the test and is 2. The first time I got 82% and rhe second I have to Pass it, because limit my options for work. The problem is that I have check and recheck my answers and I am pretty sure for these.
The whole thing about me, is that all my answers seems to me logical and correct. Also, I get photo of these ans give them to a friend of mine Who has Proficiency as a Degree and got 84%...
I wish I could get the the answers in order to proceed...

There was a question on the test that had to do with choosing whether to use "it's or "its" in a sentence. A common mistake that many people make is when people give the word "it" a possessive apostrophe. The word "it" only has an apostrophe when it is (it's) written as a contraction.
OOOH, that must be the one I got wrong. Or maybe there were two wrong.

Sandy, I enjoyed the article you linked.
Saw several of my "pet peeves" on it; the one the bugs me the absolute worst is pronouncing forte as "for-tay".
I think they should add "wallah" to the list. People THINK they mean "voila", but pronounce and spell it "wallah".

I would say there were about 25 questions...so 96 would be one wrong. If there were 50 then it would be 2 pts each although maybe those stories were worth more points...actually maybe there were 50 questions. There were maybe 4 stories or 5 with at least 3 questions each so that would be 12-18 Q right there and pages and pages of the other questions.
Did you take the test? Based on the varying complexity of the questions, I don't think they were given equal weight.

Yeah, I see that (wallah) in the forum and it drives me bonkers, especially when it's a particularly combative and argumentative individual who thinks they are witty and intellectualy superior, lol. Haven't seen that person post in this thread.

Some people in here used to spell Chipotle as Chipolte, and I have heard people pronounce it that way as well.

Oh my. I can't image any non-native speaker having to take this test. I was happy with a 93%. I applaud you wolverine for trying!
There was someone a few years ago who used prolly all the time. He was called out by another member for not writing appropriately for a report. He may have been complaining that a report was denied. As I recall, his response was that everyone uses that word. I had never seen it before or since. Maybe it is regional. B is one of the easiest keys for me to find blindly on the keyboard so why bother changing the word for a 2 keystroke savings.

OMG, I use "prolly" all the time! Especially texting -- I hate that stupid tiny keyboard, and it's so hard for my RA hands to find those tiny keys, LOL. And I use "et" (as in, "it's been et" or "it got et" ), cain't, "where you is?" and other such stuff.
Only with friends/family who understand my (notably) weird sense of humor.
And may, on occasion, even appreciate it.
