Shopping a Hospital

Any MSCs do hospitals? Obviously I am kidding. But with two in-laws in two different hospitals, a cousin just admitted with pneumonia, and two children with the flu, I am about due to be admitted myself with exhaustion.

I've seen individual doctors shopped and I've seen parking at hospitals shopped but I don't think I've seen a hospital shopped. A friend used to do the parking every time she needed to run her kid into the ER--which was all too often.

Come to think of it I have seen the parking. At the rate this month is going for me I may be looking to "shop" a mental institution.

Oh do I hear you on that one! :^) Needless to say, you have both sympathy and best wishes. I am not sure quite which is worse--being sick yourself or the helplessness when those you care about are being sick.

I've shopped restaurants that are in the downtown hospital complexes. There's a Calistoga in the U of L Outpatient Surgery building and a ff in the Jewish Hospital complex. lol

Parking meters aren't too bad to find. I don't go downtown unless I have a lot of shops to do down there and don't have to move my car around down there too much.

I did a hospital once. I was supposed to be a poor person without insurance who needed an operation. I was checking to see how I was treated and if I was helped. It paid well but it was a small company who had the contract who kept wanting more details. It was not worth it and I would never shop for her again.

i did 7 phone shops in my area... baird consulting.. they run through prophet... havent heard from them again.. but they shops were easy and well paid a little redundant though...

Thank you Carol. Since my initial posting, we lost both my father-in-law and 35 year old cousin to complications from Pneumonia and H1N1. We lay my father-in-law to rest today and my cousin early next week. We are coping, and enjoying the time we are spending with family, including my mother-in-law who has been released and is recovering fine.

So, I guess my point is to hug your loved ones a little extra and take the time to enjoy all of life's little moments.

I am sorry for your losses cjohio93. That would be quite a blow. My thoughts are with you.
