i'm just in that mood all day today.

franchise compliance has just complied. i received my check within days of emailing them with a legal warning. i'm a happy camper. after waiting 3 1/2 months for my $20 payment, i've just now received quick service. my shop log on their site still reads 'payment pending' for some reason, but i have my check and will deposit it tomorrow.

i really didn't enjoy writing a letter like that. the scheduler didn't like it much either, but simply said that she forwarded the letter to the owner. all for one $20 shop. yet they weren't responsive to pay with just previous friendly reminders. i really don't prefer to lower myself to the level of issuing legal warnings, but i have to pay the bills when investing my time into conducting a shop.

again, oddly enough, my shop log still says 'payment pending', even though i now have the check in hand. this alerts me that they may not even know who has gotten paid and who hasn't, if indeed they're not even recording it within the sassie system.

that's terrible that they made you wait that long for that much money. i'm glad that they finally paid you though. i haven't read every post in this thread, but i wonder if there are other people who haven't yet been paid in a timely fashion.

thanks for starting this thread, or else i never would've gotten my money. i only wrote the harsh letter to them, because i found out from your thread that they were doing this to other people.

I still have not got paid. So what kind of timely fashion are you talking about,

I did my shop in March 2011 and I wrote the company.

Timely fashion??!!!
From what I read this company doesn't know the meaning of timely when it comes to payments. My one shop was in September of 2010 and I wasn't paid until 4 1/2 months later in January. The irony is mine was strictly a fee for a job that didn't even cost me gas and it did not involve reimbursement. It seems like the shoppers who wait the longest and/or have to chase payment are those who have put a lot of money out of their own pockets.

they won't pay you without severe pressure. you have to work twice to get your payment. the first time by doing the shop itself. the second time by pressuring them.

they have no set time frame to pay you like other companies. they only pay when you complain severely enough, or even threaten legal action.
Vince, that's what I meant by my situation being ironic. While 4 1/2 months is a long time for payment, I'd somehow forgotten about them and the job. It was a decent shop fee, $25, but I guess it wasn't enough for me to freak out about. In fact, after they paid me I had to look it all up and found every record of it deleted from my computer. Meanwhile, the shoppers who put out money have to chase payments. It's just crazy stupid!

maybe it's easier for the company to pay you for such a small amount. but the other people who are owed larger amounts become more of a financial burden on franchise compliance.
Finally!!!! A check in the mail. I got an email about doing the same shop and sent the person an email saying I had some questions. Right away he responded asking what were my questions - when do you pay!. Well within two weeks I had a check. I did the shop July 28 and got everything in and done correctly. I have been emailing about every two weeks with no replies. Invoice date was Aug 28 and check date was 9-26. Payment went in right away just in case the check is no good.

Several months in a row, I have received email from FC advertising shops. Several months in a row, I have emailed the scheduler stating my concerns about payment, asking for some kind of payment assurance. I have never received a response. Several months in a row, the scheduler's name has been different.

I am siding with MERT on this issue. I received emails every week pratically. I have never received payment. Schedulers are Julie Bishop whom says she is the ACCOUNT executive, Alyson Crockett, and Ralph Silverstein. To me they are a bunch of crooks. The are sending their email shops to a various of client in upstate. I email them to show interest in the shops and to request payment, but I never hear back from them. I pulled this Post back up b/c I recently received this letter from the UTAH BBB. I thought the postors would be interested.

Due to the urgency of this letter, I was unable to reply. (I received the mail after Tueday 5pm) But it is good to know that sometime there is some one watching over Us as shoppers.
I also did a shop on 7/29/2011. I am owed over $100 and still not been paid. I find it funny that I was begged by them to help them since someone flaked. I did my job, saved their butts, but yet they cant give me the courtesy to pay. Mind you I did the shop and delivered my son 2 days later! I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB. I have emailed just about everyone of the schedulers mentioned here. R. Silverstein even told me it would be 6-8 weeks for payment. Well that has come and gone and now he no longer responds to my emails. Just crazy bs. I have never had such a hard time getting paid by any of the companies I work for. Nor have I ever had less than a perfect shop! I cant wait to read the article on these crooks. I am not even sure I care about the money as much as I care about these guys being out of business. They are still emailing me shops that they desperately need someone to fill! I feel like calling COIT corporate to tell them the scam they are funding! Insanity, and pure bs. I am so mad it isnt funny.

I just missed being interviewed for the article. I didn't see the e-mail until it was too late.

Well, this is all pretty interesting to me. I tried to do the shop today but was told the franchise I called does not service my county. I was told they then converted it to a phone shop, file the (itty bitty) report tomorrow and be paid $10. We'll see if that ever comes. And now I'm pretty certain I won't be scheduling the full cleaning after what's being said. I hope the BBB exposes them and they either completely change their ways or get shut down.
I've only shopped for them once. It wasn't really a shop, more of a photo audit so I'm not out a purchase. The scheduler I worked with was really so friendly, it's disappointing to know I will most likely have to hunt down payment.
I guess I'm the only one who liked this shop. Got my carpets cleaned nicely, by a very pleasant crew, got paid three months later. That's a long time but not outrageous in my book.

The only problem I've had with them is that they seem to not know basic geography. They ask for a shopper in a town 30 miles away from the carpet cleaner to do the shop, which is ridiculous. It would be obvious they are being shopped, because why would you call a company that far away when there are so many others close to home? They won't give me the shop though I am ten miles away. Then they change their minds and finally give me the shop.

Wow! I know it's been five years since I did any work for them but I was always paid, usually within three months, which was their pay period at the time. Or was it 60 days? I know they weren't known for paying exactly on time but the wait wasn't much longer. Of course, my shops were the phone ones, which are inexpensive. Since I was thinking of calling the bath company to come out and see about resurfacing the tub in my kids' bathroom, I was going to see if they still did these shops and kill two birds with one stone. It's a shame, too, because Kami was extremely helpful in reactivating my account and giving me a Hero Citation after the owner of KSS secretly deactivated me for non-business-related issues I have with her. I thought I could return the favor and work for them again. Now with all the non-payment issues, it gives me pause.

Yes, Angie, it is just within the past year as I understand that they have turned out to be so hard to get payment from.

I also shopped for them a couple of years ago, Angie, and was paid. Not quickly, but I was paid as promised, and I would have worked for them again. About a year ago the company and its payment changed drastically and I would not consider working for them again unless I begin to hear much better feedback. The scheduler I worked with I thought was one of the owners and she left some time ago. I'm thinking that it could be that a partial change in ownership or management might be responsible for the differences in payment and the lack of responsiveness to shoppers.
I worked for them alot in the past and never had a problem. I recently completed a carpet cleaning shop...I think the scheduler told me payment in February. I hope so. They were always good to me in the past. If I receive payment for this in a fairly timely manner I will be happy to shop with them again. I hope so.

I have my fingers crossed for you, Iguana. I too worked for them in the past and got paid. They seem to have developed payment problems about a year ago. I'm hoping they have turned it around and will pay you as promised. Please be sure to let us know.
I'm still waiting on payment from an August shop. I send an email a few weeks ago, but have yet to receive a reply.
