Not only are they legitimate, they are one of the very largest video MSC. And VERY well respected in the industry. They supported the development of the app, which is used by many video shoppers who do a lot of video. As I recall, there is a monthly fee for using that app, so it is a relatively inexpensive way to get into video without spending $350 to $500 for body-mounted, concealed equipment. But remember, doing acceptable video with your phone or with a PV-500 set up, take a lot of practice on your part. At the IMSC conferences the MSC owners and senior staff are always available to help shoppers to learn the best techniques for using that app.
I do not use their app since I own two PV-500 complete video rigs and one ear-mounted (aka Bluetooth) video rig, which is only used for short video work. If you really want to have video equipment that ALL video MSCs will accept video from, you will do better to buy your own rig AFTER doing some work with equipment loaned by an video MSC. I think EPMS still will loan equipment.
