Service Excellence: A new company for me

I am doing a shop next week for Service Excellence. Has anyone done a shop for them? It is so easy and quick. I don't have to upload anything, and the yes and no questions on the online report have no narrative. Thanks!!

I have done 3 shops for them and they are a good company. 1 shop was on a gas station and the other 2 were same day same location for a Credit card. They paid very quickly .
I have done a few jewelry stores, and really enjoyed working with them. First class company. Nothing in my area now, but hopefully there will be next month.

plbell,
Please remove the names of the clients from your post. You have IC contracts requiring confidentiality.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
They do not have a much as they used to but they do pay!
Look for subscriptions and that will save time on that site.
Well, I just did a shop for them today, and I have a complaint. So, I'm writing to see if my complaint is valid. I'm new, so I may not know the rules just yet. Definately willing to take contructive critisism.

I confirmed doing a shop on 10-26. Printed my papers and marked my date book. Did the job today, as paperwork stated. Just tried to input the data, and find out that they changed the job duties, requiring more than I did. No email, no message posted to my account on their site, no nothing.

I never thought to check back to see if they changed the job duties. I guess I should have, but should'nt they inform me also?

Will I not get paid now? How do I approach them, and not tick them off to where they wont let me shop for them anymore. I don't think I will anyways.

I'm upset with them. Should I be?

Thanks gang!

You have good reason to be annoyed because what you contracted to do is not what they eventually wanted you to do. I think I would contact your scheduler to see how he/she wants you to handle it. Explain the situation just as you explained it here.

I have seen jobs change midstream in the past without warning, which is part of the reason that I rarely review a shop prior to the night before doing it. I have had on site visits turned into phone shops at less than half the price, purchase requirements change, number of interactions change and looking for some variety of signage. I have even gotten notice after a shop was done and reported that they were now requiring a photo proof of visit. Duh . . . I did and reported that shop two days before your new requirement!

What I have found overall is that dealt with calmly and in a non-accusative way can get a lot of the kinks worked out. I haven't dealt enough with Service Excellence to know how they respond, but by working with you they are given an opportunity to make you a raving fan rather than 'fool me once, shame on you . . . fool me twice, shame on me.'
I'm more than surprised at this...yes, you did your part and should have gotten an email (perhaps it went to your spam box), and this was a mistake. Can you redo the job (do you want to). I would call them and tell them your side (in a nice way), and "ask" them to please advise what will happen. I print out or look again at instructions the night before, and can pick up changes then, but do get email, of course anything can happen, as this business is not a science.

I do a lot of work for them. I just completed some flooring shops. Convience stores and others are ones that I have completed. They pay when they say they do. Be very thorough in what you write. Sometimes their forms can be confusing as to what really belongs in a section. Overall,I am pleased with them.
I finally got a shop to do for them. It is a revealed audit at a coffee shop. I have to call to schedule an appointment. I hope they let me do this... sounds like fun!!
