I'm asking them to deactivate me. They send literal dozens of emails every month about shops that are underpaid. They send even more emails about shops that are several hundred miles from me. They don't read my emails. They pay slowly. I've had enough.
Just got an email begging me to do a "young" shop in my area with bonus....$2.00, this shop requires buying a $200.00 pair of jeans and returning if desired. Why can I do young shops, but not shops within my age range, just askin. I wrote and told them, I do P/R for at least $20 to 30.00. I'm re-thinking them as we well. I've worked for them a long time without questioning their ways, now I'm questioning.

About six comments ago Charlene explained why she accepted a shop from Intelli.
Please Charlene, do not think that you owe anybody an explanation. We all do what we gotta do!

I find that it has helped me to share and to find that I'm not the only one with that experience. Equiped with that info, I can better make a choice to accept or decline an offer and have, even knowing that the results could be problematic. Like you,Charlene, I weighed the trade off.I have no illusions that I'm so special and indulge in the "not to me" or the "victim is guilty" syndrome.

Shoppers shopping Companies is kinda fun.....and the results are in: only Rich likes Intelli.
PS. I've noticed that none of us complain about the long narratives!
I use a digital recorder, and I include conversations verbatim. I put a lot of "fluff" in the narrative. Almost every word that was spoken and the "down" time where the salesperson leaves to photo copy your license, or get the car or get the manager is in the narrative in minutes and seconds.

In the comments editors give me a 10, and "You include very good details" It is like taking an audio transcript of a trial in court and regurgitating it on paper.

They cannot possibly ask for more info, but when they did I suggested they read THEIR Guidelines. You can let me ask questions like a normal shopper would and have more info, or you can instruct me to do more listening than talking but you cannot have both.

I might lose a point for tactfully telling the editor they are stupid, but the satisfaction is worth it.
I just did another shop for them it was an appliance company. I did the shop sent it in and in less than 3 hours I had a review for the shop it was 10. I never have had a problem with them don't know what other people sau I say they are VERY GOOD to work for. It takes 60 days for payment , but you will get it.
With intellishop it depends how you hit it. I have had editors get back to me right away and at other times they don't give me feedback until a month after I completed the shop. The worst part is when they come back to you after a month and want some clarification.

Was it worth the $7 shop payment?

I get reviews on those shops that quickly also with 10s. Would I do it again considering the few minutes to get there and back, the 30 minutes of my life I will never get back in that store and the 30+ minutes of input, knowing how ticky their editors are?

Maybe I am high maintenance, but less than $5 an hour and wait 60 days for it? No thank you.

I have done over 45 shops for this company in the past 11 months from simple shops to high end dining shops and have NEVER had any issue with them. It is in their guidelines WHEN they pay. Every MSP pays different and you need to be aware of when they pay rather than talk badly when they pay you when they say they will pay you. If you cannot handle being paid on the timeline the MSP has set in their guidelines, then don't shop for them or speak badly about them for doing what they do. Intelli-Shop is one of the larger companies that I have dealt with and they are very professional and a good company to work for!
I was not complaining aboutr Intellashop I feel that they are a good company to work for. The pay coulsd be higher but when I shop for them I try to go at least 2 more shops then it will makit woth the time.
Do you have spell check when you fill out your reports? Not trying to be rude, but you may need to look at your words closer. We all spell things wrong from time to time, I know I do.

nocalcop, I am confused as to why you quoted plbell. She did not insult them, nor did she complain about the length of time it takes them to pay.
Out of the blue. at least to my knowledge, Intellishop canceled both my shops in a day and rejected my report with no explanation. No response to my e mails, gee did i mess up??

Krazekatt1
Did someting happen during the shop or is there something in the report you submitted that makes you believe you messed up? You may want to call them to clarify or ask what was wrong or to clear up a misunderstanding if you did not err.

Agreeing with plbell......
Just got a personal apology from a new scheduler (I hadn't dealt with before). I signed to do a job yesterday, needed to change to today, as I'd be in area for other work. No answer, I wrote again and cancelled due to lack of communacation on their end. I just got an apology from new scheduler saying old one left company, and therefore he is replying. Job was pushed back to next Thurs., when I can do it, very nice.

edit...just got another email from new scheduler, he is the best. Wants to go over shop (quite involved) and make sure it's understood...thanked me again, changed date to accomodate me. this is a good omen for Intelli....feel like a person, not a #.

I have done quite alot of work for Intellishop and never had a problem. Pay on time and sometimes bonus shops. Of course you need to examine the pay versus what's required (look at the report-is it going to take an hour to do? My personal policy is to NEVER start my car for under $10.00 and NEVER accept insulting offers.
After this weekend, I will have done over 120 assignments with Intelli-shop. I've been doing assignments with them for at least 5 years. I find their assignments generally easy, and have had good communication with their schedulers. I typically try to accept Intellishop assignments in locations close by other locations where I am already scheduled for other assignments with other companies. Then it's not like I'm just going out of my way for a small fee just for the Intellishop assignment. If I'm already traveling nearby for something else, the Intellishop assignment is typically not too time-consuming, so it's just kinda like a bonus on top of my other assignment(s) in the area. I like to stack up my assignments based on location, to make them more worth my while...especially with the cost of gas right now.

I have done many shops for this company and have had excellent results. I did not give enough information in a comment section and the editor called me and made the necessary changes for me over the phone. I do at least 5 or 6 car shops for them a month. The pay is slow (up to 60 days) but that was explained when I signed up with the company. They are very creditable and easy to work with.
I have done numerous shops for this company and have had no problem with them. I had an editor call me for clarification and he changed the necessary items over the phone. The pay is very slow but I get a lot of work from them.
Their pay is at the lower end of the scale, but the schedulers I've worked with have treated me fairly over the several years in which I've shopped for them. My shop grades have been 9's and 10's. Negatives? To shop for them means I must build routes out of town since there aren't a lot of shops from them in my area. I also wish for faster turnaround on pay.

They have a few higher paying jobs in my area, which do not require reimbursement. As long as I'm not laying out money and the shop is commensurate with the fee, I'm okay shopping for them.
I really pick and choose with this company. Some of the shops and reports are ridiculous for the pay and some are fine. It really depends on the assignment. Unfortunately like many companies they make you accept before you can read all that's involved. I have no qualms whatsoever about cancelling if after reading the full guidelines I feel the shop isn't worth it.
Does anyone know what the cut off date is for Intellishop's processing? I just got paid for a shop I did on the 2nd of May, but haven't gotten paid for the 3rd? I'm confused , because they are both in the middle of the week smiling smiley
This is on their site:

"Payment for your shops will automatically be sent through PayPal approximately 50-60 days after the last day of the month in which your shops were completed.

Please keep in mind that it takes Pay Pal up to 5 business days to process payments once they have been transferred. We ONLY pay via Pay Pal; no checks are ever issued.

For evaluations requiring some form of paperwork (receipts, associate business cards, etc.) we must receive your paperwork by the 1st of the month in which the payment will be made in order to get it processed in time to include your payment in that monthly payment batch. Any paperwork received after the 1st will not be paid until the following monthly payment batch."

I notice it seems somewhat erratic at times, too.

I could be wrong, but it might depend upon the shop. I know for awhile they were paying for auto service shops faster than their other shops.
...just when I thought it was safe to come out of the water, after a long break I signed up for Intelli shops. Now I remember why I do not like them.

Did the shop, entered it, got the evaluation, an 8 "because you reviewed the wrong model" and the obligatory scolding. I reread the comments and nooooooooooooo I reviewed the assigned car model.
Replied to the editor and the e-mail comes back.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of them?
They are a SASSIE company so use the "Help/Contact" with the shop on your shop log.

I just had that happen on a shop where scheduler had me do two at once, one editor handed me a 10 and the other was a complete putz, assigning me an 8 for answering a question asking for an opinion, WITH AN OPINION. :/

I e-mailed the scheduler and she fixed it. Just a thought.
I just did my first shop with INTELLISHOP and I am less than pleased. It took me an hour to drive there on a cold, rainy day, and the place had no hot beverages. So I left the premises to buy a coffee. The shop rules said that I could leave if the shop was going to take more than 1/2 hour. I was told both during the telephone appointment and in person that the brake inspection would take over an hour.

The rather terse INTELLISHOP editor wrote in my report that leaving the premisis is unacceptable. What gives? Why am I being penalised for doing something the company clearly stated I could do. INTELLISHOP needs to be more clear in their instructions.

I was also told that I did not address a few of my "no" answers in my report, but was not given any specifics. How am I to learn by my mistakes if I am not given more thorough feedback? After all, I just wrote INTELLISHOP a very long report for a measly $12.

As for the "no" answers, the long and confusing INTELLISHOP form instructs you to save every 30 minutes. Each time you log back in, you are faced with large red "oops" notations. If you accidentally choose no, you cannot change your answer to yes, except by choosing the "clear" option. I had thought I addressed all the "no" answers, but who can tell when the form itself is so poorly organised and presented?

I also emailed the contact person a question before I did the shop and received no answer. Now I'm waiting for an answer from the terse editor.

I am not at all convinced that the low pay is worth the bother. My travel expenses will not be covered, and the bonus will be lower due Paypal fees. And who knows if I'll even be paid after leaving the shop (even though it says in writing that you can leave if the shop takes more than 1/2 hour)?

And please, those who think INTELLISHOP is perfect and can do no wrong, spare me your guilt-making lectures on writing about my first and only rather unpleasant experience with this company.

I am not saying I will never work for INTELLISHOP again, or that I think they're evil, but they're hardly perfect. Feedback IS what mystery shopping is about, right? Those of us who do not have an "ice cream with cherries on top" experience with this company deserve to have a say. And I am thankful to this Mystery Shop forum for the opportunity to write about my first mystery shopping experience, which has left a sour taste in my mouth.
