DON'T work for these people - INTELLISHOP

I went back and checked on my shops. They rated 5 shops 10/10 and 3 8/10. All of my shops have been in retail TV sales and collectables. I have done 2 car shops and have had no problems. In fact I will do another collectable shop for them on 12/28. Should have no problems.

Intellishop has the rudest scheduler I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I deactivated myself from them and invited then to take a long walk off a short pier. Life is too short to deal with idiots like her.
That's unfortunate.

Attitude and professionalism work wonders, even if the only result is a good night's sleep. I would not let one rude individual run me out of town.
You do need a tougher skin, and no, I wouldn't stop working for the company due to one rude scheduler. I work for an MSC and all schedulers are great except one, no way will I leave the company because of her, let her leave!

Live consciously....
I just did 3 shops for them and have another coming up next week, hope I get paid early. They do come back with questions that raise the eyebrows. Didn't I state that! oh it wasn't in their format.
Well the entirely-too-long wait to be paid and the ridiculousness of the report details on the shops I did for them contributed as well. I work with over a dozen other companies so I keep busy without them.

And being in a rural area, I enjoy seeing them unable to complete a shop I would have been able to do for them.
I find myself agreeing with Irene on this one. Yes, Intelli-Shop employs one of the rudest people I've come in contact with, but it's ONE person.

The rest of the schedulers range between fine and great, and if you work for them long enough, you will deal with a variety of schedulers; not just one.... After a while, you get to know them, their idiosyncrasies, and the way each operate.

I built a rapport with two schedulers; both of whom treat me exactly how I treat them -- with respect.

The one person who I don't particular care to deal with, may be a wonderful person, however when it comes to scheduling/working a shop, I now keep an arms length when I see this one name. Easy enough to do, they're a huge company.

Now, if you tell me that you don't want to shop for other reasons....then I may agree with you. Like every MSC out there, they have their pluses and their minuses ( long reports, longer pay schedule).
I have to add that IntelliShop is ok. Everyone has a reason for either liking or disliking a company. I say they are ok.
This company posts, "simple, easy shops," that have 78 questions, 5 narrative sections, and pay $7. After taking the shop, I was pissed because I expected something about 1/5 of that complexity for a fee of that size, and this was a full-blown audit. I did it anyway because I don't flake shops that I accept. They rejected that shop because I had supposedly not spent enough time on the property, even though I had two receipts to back me up. I have also had a shop rejected because they changed the time standards after I completed my shop. These two occurrences, which were the only shops that I've had rejected in 4+ years of MSing, lead me to believe that they have a systemic inclination to screw shoppers. The capper was when the scheduler actually had the gall to email me after I deactivated myself, and try to justify their actions. Oh, and I won't patronize their client again, either, even though you need one of them to fly the plane.

Deceptive schedulers, low and slow pay, and an utter absence of an appeal process? They can wallow in their own waste.
I work for them, but I do agree that this company is one of the biggest culprits in using the word "easy" and "fun"!! In fact, I think it might be safe to say that the only shops I apply for are ones that AREN'T touted as easy and fun!
My thinking would be Bestmark being the biggest "fun and easy", not Intelli...

I only shopped for them once and that was this week. I received my grade quickly, but I have yet to experience their payment system. None of the companies really seem to pay all that quickly, most average about a month and so far the longest one is 2 months. I think it's a long time to wait, but if I desperately needed the money I wouldn't be mystery shopping. Once you get some consecutive jobs month to month, you should have a pretty consistent flow of cash if it keeps rolling over.

The one company I did have a problem with was Jancyn. I posted on here about it and they removed me from their shopping list. They were extremely unprofessional and rude, but then again it's basically one woman in charge over there and she's not the cream of the crop. That still doesn't excuse ANY of the companies from behaving in a professional or considerate manner, but unfortunately you run into people who don't believe in being polite.
There are a few that pay more quickly, and there are also some that take longer than 60 days. Keep reading the forum...there is a lot of info. here about payment.
I have done 20 jobs for intellishop and on average they pay in 68 days. The longest I ever had to wait was 77 days. The good thing is that they always pay so I am never worried about it.

Hence my "Love / Hate" relationship.

Just watch your account, as they make lots of mistakes which negatively impact on your shopping. In my case, one of the schedulers signed me up for a shop, and because she "forgot" to put in the correct date, 20 minutes after I confirmed the shop, I was charged with a flake.
Since I had that shop to do, I quickly saw their error, and was able to correct; the correction took 3 emails = time and effort.

The 1 Flake took my 10 to a 8 score, so no, I wasn't happy as they live and die by the scores.

But, they do pay on time. Their time is at the end of the second month, so if you shop Jan 1, payment is week of March 31st.
*sighs* Oh, but wouldn't it be nice to get paid at least every other week like normal businessmen/women. LOL (I hope i don't get in trouble for using that), I really like mystery shopping so I don't mind the wait. I usually "forget" I have a payment due and then I'm surprised when I get it.

My score with them right now is a 9/10 since there were some errors. Knowing me it was a run on sentence or something goofy with grammar. Either way, as it stands now I've had a positive experience with them. Sometimes it may be the scheduler and NOT the company itself. I'm always willing to continue working with a company as long as they're ethical.
The only time payment with IntelliShop was an issue for me was when I was out-of-pocket almost $100. I don't mind their pay schedule so much when I don't have to lay out cash. That said, earlier is always better, regardless!
Their jobs here don't require out of pocket, that's one reason I shop them so often. I do their auto dealerships mostly. They just got a new scheduler and I'm not a happy camper with him, he seems very unexperienced and asks the same question over and over which brings down your score. I wrote to my old scheduler and told her I'd only do her jobs, so there.

The most out of pocket the shops here require for them is around $5-6 so not a terrible of an amount to be out.

My latest beef with them is a rating I got on my last shop. The comment said I received a 9 because they had to contact me. They had to contact me for information IN the report. The exact wording she used when she called was, "I see you answered there were no other associates. I want to make sure this is correct."

She is acknowledging the information was in the report, so I don't see why I should be docked a point because they chose to call to confirm information that I already correctly reported.
A lot of companies who explain their rating system include that deduction, but they certainly should NOT deduct for something that they really did NOT have to contact you about in the first place!

That was my problem with it. If I left out something and they contact me, that's my fault. I had the question marked to show no other associates, plus I put in the comments that no other associates were there.
Lisa, that was my problem exactly, I was questioned about info. in the report. Was the Salesperson you were introduced to the Manager. I did not know, no name tag, just introduced by his first name. Put that in the report and was asked twice if he was the Manager. Got an 8 and put alot of work and time into that. This was a new Editor, so I suffered as I had kept my score up for years....not happy about that.

That would be disappointing then, putting a lot of work into doing a good job and being stuck with that score that does not reflect the work. Luckily mine was a quick shop and report.
I have done over 40 shops in the past year and they always paid on their time schedule and do an amazing job of communication with me. They are one of the top companies that I would work for.
I have been working with them for about 2 years with little problems. The only problem i have is they take forever to pay. They give nice bonuses too and if you make them an offer, they take it
Has anyone done a shop for them dealing with tv,internet and telephone services?
You know, like a bundle, for communications? To see how much the employee knows about the services? And when are they suppose to pay. I have done one shop for them and they wrote me back saying I did an excellent job. But I have an offer with the above mention, but reading alot of the negativity, makes me wonder if I should take this shop.

This is me. The forever and a day payment is primarily why I don't bother-they don't pay enough for me to wait unless it's heavily bonused.
Don't you just love it when they ask for information that nowhere in their instuctions is mentioned as required and have the timerity to take points off? Even better their compulsive "need to clarify" ie types of streets,county/city, stop lights, etc, traffic conditions! why do you think the salesman was neatly dressed? Not!
I've lost my taste for these arbitrary judgement calls, they'll make you as insane as they are....not worth it! only if the shops are heavily bonused and even then it works out to be $5 per hour!
My husband got a $30 shop rejected because the salesman quoted HIM the lease price in addition to the purchase price and my husband reported it!Keep in mind that at no point does HE get to ask questions... only report!
Writting about this company will wear out the exclamation marks from keyboards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your comments stimulated me to go back and look at my shop log. While I was at it I looked at the job board. The answer was really clear to me why I have done only a dozen or so jobs for them in 5 years even though I have a 10 rating with them.

1) substandard pay (less than half what I would expect from a 'reasonable' company)
2) shops of no personal interest
3) nitpicky and irrelevant editor comments even when they deducted no points
4) unreasonably slow pay

I fail to see that any of the above contribute positively to a working relationship with shoppers. Obviously shoppers work 'for' them rather than 'with' them. My preference is to work 'with' companies who have some respect for their workforce.
Just got an email from them with the heading "These shops now pay out in 30 days instead of 60 days!"- with all kinds of brake inspection jobs in my area. No thanks- picky, picky- I state the facts and you call them "biased opinion."and then won't tell me what was biased! Plus, the $280 in repair costs after the inspection you told me was free,mmmm....not worth even the quicker pay. Maybe they've gotten a clue because no one wants to wait several months to be reimbursed $50 or more.
