DON'T work for these people - INTELLISHOP

I guess some shoppers in my area like doing this shop for them. After I posted my message, I went back to see if the 2 jobs were still available but they were gone. Oh well, any more input about them would be helpful tho. I did a easy gas shop for them the first week of January, so when would expect to be paid?

I only do credit union shops for them and have had no problems whatsoever. I have good scores, only got knocked down a point when I wasn't clear enough in my report. I really like them, but then again, I haven't seen anything other than these credit unions in my area. If I didn't know better, I would think you were all talking about a completely different company!
I took one of those brake shops. Called ahead, blah, blah, blah
Called from the road that I was running late & will be there by one, blah, blah, blah.
Got there, checked out lanscaping, sign, banners, door signs. Man on phone, no greeting, no blah, blah, blah.I checked out coffee machine, rest room, dates on magazines. Man gets off the phone, near tears from rage: his computer died in the MORNING.
I didn't have the heart to ask why didn't he tell me when I called and he didn't have the brain to offer me a reschedule discount.
I e-mailed Intelli- no reply. I enter the report and get CB a day later: no can accept. Half of the report would have benefitted the client, but nooooooooooo. The good news is that I got to see the real report and never again. It has to be designed by satan. It would have to pay $500 (even more) before I'd take it again. In fact, I'll bet that's what they do in hell, submit Intelli shop brake reports.
I have Dec. shops that have said "payment pending" for almost 2 weeks. i am going to take the money and run, as soon as it finally arrives.

I just did my first shop for Intelli-shop - the $12 brake inspection.

I initially took the job thinking, it's only a few blocks from my house, and I could use a brake inspection anyway, so what the heck?

After I accepted the shop, I found this forum. Between the comments on here, and the shop guidelines (which I could only view AFTER accepting the assignment), I regretted taking the job.

But, I didn't want to cancel and get off to a bad start with these guys, so off I went to do the shop. Called ahead, then drove to the location. The people were great, top marks all around, all went well. I got a 10 out of 10 on the shop, with some nice comments (phew), and have been told I'll be reimbursed for my expenses. And, now I know the condition of my brakes smiling smiley

Had I known that I'd be spending over an hour doing the shop, then another hour filling out the very detailed report, and on top of that paying up front for the "free" inspection, I wouldn't have taken the shop. Just not worth my time.

Fingers crossed I don't have to wait too long for payment!

Normally, their payments do take quite some time, one of the longest of the companies I shop for. But, if I am correct, for the car inspection shops, they are paying at the end of the next month.
I have had many shops with these folks. They expect great great reports and pay very quickly. I only wish that I had time to do more of their shops. I sometimes get a 10 and sometimes get an 8. That's shopping. Sometimes I am not on my mark. When you aren't on your mark, or hurry cause you've done ten shops in one day, blame yourself.
Intellishop does not pay quickly, have been working for them for years....they pay slowly.

As shoppers we are asked to write the facts and in very rare cases our opinions but never, as far as I've seen: speculation. The last sentence is pure speculation, judgemental at that and smacks of "the victim is guilty" phenomenon. Most of the experiences with Intelli as written in this thread sound negative because they are and not because of ten shops in one day or not being on "your" mark, but because too often information that is already reported needs to be confirmed, sometimes after weeks. A car dealership shop can become a many hour deal between the shop, entry and subsequent verifications. Just the first two elements make it virtually impossible to do nine additional shops in one day.
We've signed on for the pay, the 3month payment schedule but not for the often arbitrary waste of time. The score , for me, is a feel good event but the disrespect for my time is most annoying.
On the positive side, as a woman, I enjoy the new and improved salesmanship which includes engine power and not limited to color choices and and and let's not forget that wonderful new car smell! That would promise a better incentive rather than the deceitful "fun and easy" descriptor.

They really should be honest, because after doing these in December ( and STILL haven't been paid) and being told it was free brake inspection, I called 11 different locations and ALL said they charge for the inspection. I've sent in a payment inquiry, and am going to do that every 24 hours till I'm paid. richraynor, I'm not sure what you consider fast, but 2.5 months is NOT fast- they are my only holdout payment from 2010.

I agree, lisams. I like Intellishop but can't imagine that anyone thinks they pay very quickly.....
I have done two shops for thm recently and got scored 10 on both. They didn't pay much, but it was somewhere I wanted to go anyway (new store in area) so I took it...then I was contacted and told that if I wanted to I could do 2 shops (bu not 3) on the same day an that really did double the money for me, since it was a very easy shop to do anyway.

I wonder if the msc are able to give a 10 every time? The sore would be very high all the time, and no one if pefect all the time!?????

Thanksagain pals! BTW, I goofed in a previous post, I said only feedback plus has paid me, and I aoplogize becasue Ritter Assocates have also paid me. Both pamnets were not expected as soon as I got them! Still have 5 companies I am waiting on. But they are all inside their payment statements.
Just got an email from Intellishop that my payment will be made 2/20. It's said "payment pending" on the shop log for 16 days now. So basically they put that there to shut up all the late payment inquiries. Can't wait to "take the money and run......."

On the positive side September shops get paid in time for Christmas spending.

Hear that Rich?
They pay just fine. Ask them I guess. Are your reports on time? Are they accurate? Sometimes the camera in the store tells on you if you are fudging. Always be honest with the reports. Other than that. I have no idea.
Your post are all over the place...is close to three months paying quickly? What do you call slow pay, 6 months....does not matter what your score is, pay is the same!

Live consciously....
...there you go again Rich.......judging and assuming!

In that case, let them watch the videos and question the cameras rather than waste everybodies time "just to confirm" what's already there!
Rich is just a troll who enjoys "stirring the pot." I wish that Jacob would clamp down on him. This is becomming quite irksome.

Charlene, the TV/Internet/Phone shop is one I did almost 3 years ago at $21 shop pay... NOT worth it, expect a 45 minute interaction at the location and 4 full pages of narrative recounting verbatim every single thing the representative said... and then, expect a call from Intellishop to confirm details that were in your report already. And expect them to dock your rating for this confirmation.

I consider that shop the worst one I've ever done. It was like the Best Buy / Bestmark shop only a bigger pain with more narrative, if you can imagine.
Yes, I can imagine. Have done shops for BM and their reports are very long. Wont do the BB ones any more unless they have a great bonus, but have never seen a bonus with them. The gas shop I did for Intellishop was not long at all. Pay was not great, but I did it because it is about 2 minutes from my home. I know there is a msc that does the TV/Internet/Phone shop in my area, but I dont think it is Intellishop as the pay is only 12.00. But I will be on the look out. Thanks!
Yes the normal pay on that one is $11-12... I did it when it was bonused +$8 and it still was not worth it at all. Intelli-shop still has that one in my area at least.
Wednesday I went to a bank training seminar. During lunch I got to talking with the shopper across the table. He was new at this, 2 months. He had just done two new car delearships and was confused by the need to clarify 'cause he swears the information was already there!....... and the company was? ta rah: you guessed it- Intelli

I won't work for Intelli any more.

The scheduler I dealt with on the new car dealerships admitted they dock 2 automatically (I've only gotten 10s or 8s) for contact even when the info is there. I told him that I take pride in what I do and that random editing, which wastes my time, along with super-slow pay is not my choice in MSCs. He responded that they really appreciated the detail in my reports and apologized that I felt as though I could not work with them.

I guess that's why when the dealership service shop I did 2 months later specifically deviated from guidelines and I stated exactly why I did it, they didn't contact me for more detail, just docked the 2, posted the 8 and listed it as payment pending, lol.
When an editor contacted me 41 days after I'd submitted my luxury auto report with a request for additional detail, I bumped my fee $10 the next time a scheduler called; she declined and stated she would so mark my file. I haven't heard a peep since that day.
ShopperBob, consider yourself lucky, they are the lowest paying for auto dealerships with long narritives. I got 30.00 with much shorter narritives, but, I'm giving dealerships a rest due to customer service.

They have oil change shops for reimbursement, while another MSC does the same company for reimbursement plus a fee. So why should I shop for them?
Just got paid (paypal) and funny thing, job was 20.00, I received a bonus of $2.00. So, hang on, they do pay.
